IF LUCK IS ON YOUR SIDE you can win using this system (in my case, making $10 starter bets, up to about $400/hr.
(up to $200 making the minimum required $5 bet). However, he doesn't talk about the the fact that if you stay blindly committed to betting the same dozen (which he recommends) even if it hasn't hit for as many as 15 spins, you'll lose your shirt because it's a progressive betting system. If he were to adapt the system a bit, for example, changing your bet and betting the remaining 2 dozens after yours hasn't showed in, let's say, 5 or 6 spins, you'd go a long way to cutting your potential losses. This system CAN'T be played the way he recommends it because of 1) table bet limits and 2) limits to the size of your bankroll. However, if you adapt it a bit and luck is running your way, you CAN win. What you should do is chart the table and pick a table that is not trending toward any particular dozen, but instead, frequently switching between the 3 different dozens. In that instance, you'll do well with this system.

Just got done reading it and I am now testing the system a little bit at home. So far the system is working, however I can agree with another review (by a reader) in that you indeed do have to modify it a bit or else you will one day lose your shirt (and mortgage). The one thing lacking in the book is a money management section (which as a result i have come up with my own). The author sort of assumes that the reader has 2 grand in his back pocket and is ready to dive in. Don't get me wrong the system makes sense, however the reader should be prepared to make his/her own money management system with a win goal and a loss limit. Other than that its an easy read altough ... for about 40 reading pages...? Who knows with luck it will pay for itself. (knock on wood). I look forawrd to testing this some more and will remain optimistic. Progresion is only as dangerous as people allow it to be! Sometimes you just have to call it a losing night and go home!

4.0 out of 5 stars System 'Weaknesses', May 9, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Roulette Secrets Revealed (Paperback)
I read the book on the Saturday and tried the system out the same day. Yes it does work but here are some of the things not mentioned in the book :-
1) When scouting, make sure the dealer (or wheel) does not have the tendency to spin 0's. As you all know zeros kill all outside bets;
2) When zeros do turn up, I believe it doesn't matter what dozens you play the spin after (only my opinion);
3) This only applies when you're up a bit (min 30 units up) - it is too risky to progress up to 16 bets deep. Just cut your losses (winnings really) at the seven bet mark (26 units) and start again from square one (only my opinion);
4) The system is a grind - don't be misleaded by this statement, it does work but you have to be patient and spend the time at your new 'work'.

That's my two cents worth of advice. Anyone to comment on this?

Good luck on your adventures.

1.0 out of 5 stars nothing new under the sun, September 8, 2005

If you can play for 6 or more hours, if you have a bankroll the size of Montana, and if you don't get wiped out at the beginning this system may win. Don't think you can lose? Check out page 34 St. Germain double zero tester (-19 steps). The author claims this book is not the old systems found in other books. This system is the oldest one in the book- the "due" system with a Martingale attached. Why would anyone risk thousands to win $10 ($5 level). You are then forced to play at increasing levels. He also claims he was tired of getting ripped off by other books.I now feel the same way.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is by Far the Best Dam System for Winning at Roulette !, November 21, 2001

I've been playing roulette for the past 4 years and I have tried numerous systems (7 in total, 4 of the roulette systems I've tried are from other books I bought from Amazon.com) that give you an advantage but nothing compares to the consistent winnings I've had with John C. Steele's Roulette system. This system really WORKS !!!!! If you have tried other systems and have been disappointed like me, I can pretty much bet your search is over. I love his straight, no nonsense approach to winning at roulette, the book guides thru his easy to learn system, his basic system alone his worth the price of the book, his advance system is bonus money maker.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great and Sensible system, October 14, 2001
By
This review is from: Roulette Secrets Revealed (Paperback)
I've read some of the other gambling books...and I was a bit dissapointed. This book is really excellent! Not only did it teach me a real profitable system, but it also showed me a consistent way of dominating the roulette table. John's strategies by far is the best system I have ever seen. I highly recommend Roulette Secrets Revealed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Only his dozen selection method is flawed., June 25, 2005
This review is from: Roulette Secrets Revealed (Paperback)
Look @ every number around the wheel from 0 to 0 and, instead of writing the numbers down, write down which dozen they belong in. You get a sequence that looks like this --> 1232123212321 13313-00-1. Notice any thing? There are 2 pockets on the wheel that do not contain the second dozen! Outside of,what i call, trap numbers (pockets of # /w out 2nds) there are 3 3rds,3 1sts & 6 2nds(looking @ half the wheel). Abviously, one of the wheels designs is to throw off the balence in the dozens (causing the prob. you are having w/ going to the 14+ bets. To solve this, make 2nds your dominate dozen. Look @ the last 10 numbers and search for 4 2nds. If there are only 1-3(out of 10), bet the 2nd dozen until there are 4. When there are 4 2nds, search the 1sts for 4. If there are 1-3, bet 1sts until you win & until there are 3 1sts. Check the 2nds for 4 2nds. If there are still 4 2nds, check the 3rd for 4 3rds. Always Check Back With 2nds. Then go to 1sts & then 3rds. I don't have to hope this will help you make better selections...i know that it will!

1.0 out of 5 stars the road to ruin, April 26, 2006
This review is from: Roulette Secrets Revealed (Paperback)
"Great system"... "blew me away"....I was shocked by the sheer stupidty of some of these comments.I have been playing roulette for over 20 years One thing I know for sure: if you follow this system you WILL be blown away - along with all your money. I bought the book and immediately realised the system is a simple progression that even the most idiotic players soon realize is the road to ruin.
stay clear. There are far better books out there "john Patricks roulette" ..and russell Barnhart's "beat the wheel" ,for example.

1.0 out of 5 stars I Agree with Mr.opposite, September 21, 2005

Lucas Jackson (Baton Rouge, LA USA) - See all my reviews

In my first attempt applying the "system" found in the book, it wasn't long before I was at the house limit and down plenty. 19 spins in a row and no 2nd dozen. I do agree that the odds of this happening would be considered long, but I rode it thru the 13th spin, took my beating, and waited to see how long it took until a 2nd dozen came. 19 spins=Broke.

By
This review is from: Roulette Secrets Revealed (Paperback)
I was sceptical at first but after reading the book and trying the system, I'm convinced. It does really work. It not only shows you how to win money on roulette, but to also keep your money, which is key to winning. Anyway give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
