The carnivorous, insect-eating Sundew Plant is native to a wide geographic range: from Greenland and Newfoundland to Alaska; south along the Pacific coast to California and inland to Montana and Colorado; in the East, from Nova Scotia south to Florida; and even west to the Mississippi River and Minnesota. It is also found in Europe, Asia, South Africa, and South America. Sundew grows naturally in bogs, but can also be found in swamps, rotting logs, mossy crevices in rocks, or in damp sand along the banks of streams, lakes, or ponds. Generally associated with sphagnum mosses, growing on floating sphagnum mats or hummocks. May also grow on other mosses or sedge peat soils. It is hardy in zones 3-9. This Sundew is very easy to grow!
