This review is from: Round'bout Now (Audio CD)
This is a megnificient, subtle and deep homage to a peculiar Miles Davis' musical period, between Water Babies/Filles De Kilimanjaro, preparing for In A Silent Way and Bitches Brew -and to the trumpeter music as a whole. Great arrangements and group playing, great soloing and musical results as a whole.
A strangely overlooked cd that made me aware of Schuller's drumming (here in a exciting and competent dedication to Tony Williams) and McCaslin's. All the players involved sound greatly focused in this project. Worth many, many listenings
