First off - this is not a calendar. It's a laminated, folding map guide. Very compact and great for travel. My girlfriend and I took to the open road last year for the 75th anniversary and having this as our "tour guide" made for an incredible trip. The map is broken into six sections, one for each geographical region of the route. It showcases lesser-known haunts and pieces of popular culture you just wont want to pass up. And with AAA producing it, you know its accurate and informative.

This map is disappointing. It's a great idea to have it laminated and the size you can stow in a glove compartment, but it is sorely lacking in information. While the illustrations are enjoyable, I keep looking at all the space that could have held more information. Even though I could easily pack this map, it's staying home when I travel down route 66.

Hate's a strong word. One star to me means it's worthless, which this totally is. Maybe it's a child's guide for the mother route, but if so, it should say that. It's colorful, I'll give it that, and it's well made of a plasticized card stock. Content wise, it's the most worthless map or travel guide I've ever seen.
