great labs, but too many review questions when the answers are not there, or online to check yourself. Typically we are adults in this class, answers would only help be sure we are not closing the book with the wrong answer written in, and not knowing.

The Routing Protocols and Concepts Labs and Study Guide book has been really helpful for me. As a NetAcad student, I found myself going back and rereading each section online to remember the concepts I learned. This book helped me reinforce my concepts and remember the material covered in this course. With fill-in-the-blanks,matching, and study guides in every chapter, I was able to remember all that I learned. There are also a lot of labs for each chapter, which helped me improve my troubleshooting skills and increase my knowledge. The topologies of the labs were different than the ones you find in the original online NetAcad course, so you get more practice too! You also get a CD with this book which has all the labs and packet tracer files. I brought this book to help me review my vocabulary, practice labs, and get more troubleshooting experience, and this book does just that! I'm satisfied with my purchase.

If you are taking the class where this study guide is optional, I would highly recommend buying it. Lots of good info.

A good book, the fill in the spaces is very childish and the exercises are missing the answers. Not as helpful as i thought it will be....

Boiler plate information and I mean nuts and bolts, one should consider buying the workbook and Packet Tracer 5.0 (or later) to fully benefit from the text. A great prep tool for a portion of the CCNA exam.

I had to purchase this book to go along with the companion study guide. I purchased it for a class that I was taking to get a networking degree. I used the book for 8 weeks and I only completed 40 pages out of it. I was very disappointed to find out that there wasn't any answer guide to go along with it. I wanted to go back after the course and do some more of the coursework but wondered if the answers would be right or wrong in some of the labs. There wasn't any way to figure that out. I then began wondering how the professor checked the answers also. Seemed to be a big waste of money and time. The fill-in-the-blanks seemed to be a waste also.

The condition of this book was not as advertised. It was listed as "Very Good" condition but it contained writing mostly in pencil as well as some in pen.

This book is not very user friendly for stand-alone usage and I would not have purchased it if not obligated to in order to comply with university requirements. I was not happy with the paper quality for it made turning the pages difficult as they tend to stick together. This textbook is intended to be properly used in conjunction with the Cisco Networking Academy curriculum and does not support learning the content without the other materials provided by the Cisco CCNA training.I felt that both the glossary and the index are skimpy and could be more comprehensive. I had trouble finding subject matter that was in the book but not listed in the glossary or index. |
