This "rinse" is the best I've seen on the market, that doesn't cost $100, doesn't require a stylist's license, and does take away ANY yellowing or brassiness that sometimes occurs with either age or bleaching. I use this after I've highlighted my hair, as a toner, just to keep any brassiness away. As a darker blonde, I sometimes use this during the summer for a brightener with my sun-streaks.

The only thing I don't like about this product is that it can be really drippy and therefore, get on your clothes. So, just be careful with it. I chose to 1) cover my clothes before using this product and 2) put it in a spray bottle for maximum coverage and less dripping.

Many other products say they lighten hair (like sheer blonde) but I have not ever found anything that stays consistently on the market that contains Violet 2 (which is what makes the bright white). All the lemon in the world will not work this well.

I have strawberry/blonde hair that I often want to brighten up. When I first started using this stuff my hair would look greasy and feel like there was too much 'product' in it but the color was nice. I've now perfected how to use it on myself and I'll give all the steps for the best hair treatment I've ever found! My hair looks glossy, silky, flows BEAUTIFULLY, and styles to perfection every time.

1. shampoo and condition with your regular stuff as usual
2. towel dry hair
3. I use moroccan oil (or Argon Oil from Sally's which is cheaper) about a nickle size for long hair - much more and you'll regret it, but I find it essential or my hair is way too dry.
4. brush through
5. pour some of the rinse into the palm of your hand and start putting it in your hair like you would mousse or the oil, stay away from the scalp as much as possible
6. repeat putting rinse in until you feel you have enough, and then rub all your hair into itself and towards your scalp (I do this because I have long hair)
7. TOWEL DRY AGAIN!!!!! With a dark towel of course, if you don't it will look like too much product in your hair but the color will stay in, I'm not even sure what towels out but no matter how much or how little rinse I put in, if I don't towel it again the hair looks yucky in some places.
8. I always style it after using this stuff because my hair just looks better afterwards. If I'm just going to let it air dry I won't bother with anything but the first 4 steps, I won't use the rinse.

Note - I have used the corresponding mousse. It works fine, but does tend to dye your hands more then the rinse so wash your hands frequently until your hair is dry or you'll dye stuff around you.

Color Name: 23 Frivolous Fawn
I use permanent color on my hair, which grows quickly and needs frequent touch-ups. My stylist suggested I try Roux Rinse to cover roots between colorings and wow, was she right. It covers the ashy-gray roots and blends them into my reddish-brown seamlessly. Even better, it leaves my damaged, frizzy hair feeling healthier and easier to work with than it has for years; I would even recommend you use it just as a conditioner. I have tried Bashful Blonde, Frivolous Fawn, and Plush Brown, all with similar good results; the lighter shades let my hair's highlights come through nicely.
Pros: Inexpensive, no commitment, fast, safe, easy, odorless. Hair looks lustrous and shiny, feels better than ever.
Cons: It is a little messy (but washes off hands easily). Need to touch up the temples after after washing my face. Can't go swimming or out in the rain. Hair takes longer to dry when the rinse is on, so allow an extra half-hour if you air-dry.

I agree with Java the Nut completely. It really does a great job, doesn't damage your hair, and easily rinses out. I only gave it four stars because it can be a little messy to use. It is also sold as a mousse (ROUX Frivolous Fawn Colored Mousse#23 or Roux Fanci-full Mousse #23 Frivolous Fawn), which is easier to use and not messy at all.

Color Name: 23 Frivolous Fawn
I started using Fanci-Full Frivolous Fawn 3 years ago when I had a medical issue that was causing my hair to shed more than usual when it was combed or brushed. Washing was even worse. I stopped seeing the hair dresser because coloring was very hard on it and I wanted hair, gray roots and all. My hair is waist length, but the gray at my face bothered me and made me feel tired. So I tried Fanci-Full. I used a foam paintbrush to apply it around my face and along the part and a fine tooth comb to smooth to spots and blobs of liquid into just an inch or 2 of hair. Then I let just let it dry. I felt SO much better about me, I understand from others that the gray is really not visible in the back length of hair. While it is a "pain" to plan time to sponge it in each wash, it is worth it.

I am better now, shedding is reduced, so for the family reunion this summer, I have an appointment for the hairdresser to do the permanent color again, but I will certainly use this for the roots as it grows (because it is growing again!)
