Product Description
Angry Birds Space HD
Angry Birds Space HD
Revenge is a dish best served... in outer space

Blast off into the final frontier with your favorite avian avengers! The Angry Birds are back, and this time even the Earth can't contain their fury.

Angry Birds Space, the all-new adventure from Rovio, takes you to straight to the cosmos, where the feathers continue to fly. This time, the familiar physics-based gameplay of the original Angry Birds games comes with a NASA-style twist: the birds' slingshot trajectories are affected by different gravitational fields as they navigate planets, black holes, stars, and more.

Angry Birds Space features 80 interstellar levels on celestial bodies and in zero gravity, resulting in spectacular gameplay ranging from slow-motion puzzles to lightspeed destruction. With regular free updates, brand-new birds, brand-new superpowers, and a whole galaxy to explore, the sky is no longer the limit!

Angry Birds Space HD
The adventure begins with a cold-hearted theft
Where No Angry Bird Has Gone Before

The Angry Birds have achieved a lot in the last two years, but apparently peace on Earth wasn't good enough. The evil pigs have taken the fight to outer space, and the Angry Birds are right on their curly tails.

After a giant claw kidnaps their eggs, the Angry Birds chase it into a wormhole and find themselves floating in a strange new galaxy--surrounded by space pigs. Luckily for our feathered friends, a funny thing happened when the Angry Birds passed through this cosmic portal: they emerged with amazing super powers of their own.

Now the birds and pigs are locked in a fierce intergalactic battle, fighting on and above rocky asteroids, icy planets, forbidding black holes, and much more. The Angry Birds have brought along their handy, enormous slingshot, of course; but the outer-space environment creates new, unpredictable flight conditions. No longer can they just rear back, fire, and hope for the best.

Angry Birds Space HD
Battle evil pigs on small, rocky asteroids...
Science: Surprisingly Useful

It's your job to help the Angry Birds cope with these cosmic forces. The trick is to consider the gravitational pull of any celestial body that a bird passes. If you aim too close to a planet, you're pulled into its orbit and it will fling you elsewhere. You can use this orbital boost to your advantage, too, but be careful--if you don't aim close enough, you'll miss the orbit entirely and your bird will float off to a lonely destiny in deep space.

Still, Angry Birds have no fear, and neither should you. As you aim, helpful tracer lines reveal your projected path, so you'll learn quickly. From there, it's classic Angry Birds slingshot fun: slide your finger on the screen and let go to pull back and fling your avian friends. Tap the screen mid-flight to unleash a bird's special ability. Pinch to zoom in and out of the environments, and drag your finger to view different parts of each stage.

Angry Birds Space HD
...and huge, icy planets
Boom Goes the (Cosmic) Dynamite

Use the birds and their powers to break through piles of space junk that the pigs use for protection. Crates, boards, stone, glass, TNT--even space bubbles, icy spheres, and the occasional rocket ship--are no match for an accurate shot with the right bird. As you progress through the game, you'll face plenty of unique challenges and super villains (including the menacing Space King, who pilots a flying saucer fixed with a big claw--perfect for snatching eggs).

You'll also notice amazingly detailed scenes and evocative music. The game features lush colors, startlingly beautiful cosmic scenes, and NASA-approved renditions of actual space physics. Cinematic music takes each scene to a higher level of fun and intensity, as dramatic orchestral swells vie with audio elements inspired by sci-fi TV shows.

Stronger, Faster, Angrier Birds

Pursuing the pigs into outer space, the Angry Birds took a perilous journey into a wormhole. They all made it through in one piece, but each emerged with new super powers. And they gained a new member of the flock, as well!

Red: Leader of the Angry Birds, Red now dons a spiffy mask. He uses the mask's built-in goggles to help him see the flight path that will cause the most destruction.

Lazer Bird: Formerly known as Yellow Bird, Lazer Bird is now one of the fastest objects in the universe.

The Blues: Always daring and inquisitive, this trio of small birds now have the ability to crack and smash frozen objects.

The Incredible Terence: The largest of the birds, this not-so-gentle giant squashes and destroys anything that gets in his way.

Bomb: A bird with exceptional anger problems and a short fuse, Bomb uses his super power to incinerate any material in his path.

Ice Bird: The newest member of the flock, Ice Bird is an extra-terrestrial who can turn anything he touches into solid ice.

Reviews for the Original Angry Birds

"It's a very simple formula, but thanks to precise controls, great puzzle designs, and excellent atmosphere, Angry Birds is outrageously addictive. (Really, I am sleepy today because I played this until three in the morning.)"

"Angry Birds might not have a lot of extra features besides its single player mode, but to be honest, that mode alone makes the game a fantastic value." -TouchArcade

"What does it take to make an addictive game? Not much--just throw in some super simple controls, cute graphics, and basic physics. Rovio Mobile's Angry Birds is one such game that includes all these elements..." -Engadget

"The reaction of the objects as they topple and splinter, knocking other sections over and (if you're lucky) squishing the pigs within is a constant delight, and ensures that you'll play the same levels multiple times in a bid to get a full three-star rating. To all those who've been waiting - here comes a very good thing." -PocketGamer

Bonus Content

As with previous Angry Birds games, Angry Birds Space offers a plethora of cool bonus content waiting to be unlocked. Here, as you unlock shiny Eggsteroids, you'll find bonus levels that pay homage to classic video games of the past.

Play hard, unlock new levels, and see what delightful interpretations of well-known video games await. All of them integrate Angry Birds characters into the gameplay, of course, for a surprising and fun fusion of old-school and new-generation gaming!

From Game to Phenomenon: The Rovio Story

The road to Angry Birds began in 2003, when three Finnish students entered a mobile-game development competition. Their game, King of the Cabbage World, was the first real-time, multiplayer game for mobile phones. The trio soon formed what would become Rovio.

Angry Birds was released in December 2009, after the iPhone and just as the Android universe started to explode. The game achieved unprecedented success: to date, the game and its sequels have generated more than 700 million downloads, as well as a firm foothold in popular culture.

I bought Angry Birds Space the day it came out on Amazon. I enjoyed the twist on game play. I played the game and got 3 stars on each level as the new levels came out. No one at Amazon thought to try the update themselves before posting the update for everyone else? Maybe TEST if it erases ur game data BEFORE putting it on Amazon market? As angry was that made me, I figured "oh well, I know I had 3 stars on all the old levels, I'll just play the new ones." I played the first new level only to find out my "ad free" version of Angry Birds Space has an AD that says I have to PAY for the new levels I just got with the update that erased all my game data? You have got to be kidding me. I'm done with Amazon Market and Rovio.

It never occurred to me that this app wouldn't be available for the Kindle Fire. I bought it and only too late found out that while it's ok for my husband's Android tablet, it's not ok for my Fire. I wish I had caught it in time to stop the charge - I know it's only a dollar, but it's very annoying. Why should I have to buy the HD version? You can't get the free version for Kindle Fire, either. Irritating. I don't need or want an HD version of a silly game. I feel ripped off.

I bought this game and was very excited to put it on my fire. Guess I won't get to do that. I should not have to. Buy two versions of the game... no other app I have paid for has made me do that and I wish I would have been better informed of the need to buy a different version for my fire.

I am a little irked that if I want to play this on my Kindle Fire I have to buy the "HD" version for a few bucks more. It makes no sense because I have just the Standard Rio version I bought and can play that on my Fire with no problems. Is this Rovios way of nickle and diming it's customers? Not cool.

So I LOVE angry birds and space was no exception. however, got the update yesterday and now all my play has been erased! I had 3 stars on all the previous I AM the angry one. otherwise, great game.

***Update: Got another update and waited a while to install it. Seems they've fixed the overwriting with updates for the last update. You have to be careful with Amazon App updates seems they uninstall and reinstall with most of their app updates where Google Play does not. Just a thought.

maybe the Google Play Store update wouldn't have wiped out ALL MY PROGRESS in this freaking game. Too late now that I used the CRAPPY CRAPPY Amazon App store. Really, Rio?
DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNLESS you want to lose all your stars and painfully start re-counting them.
Then again, maybe they'll partner with NBC for Olympic coverage #NBCfail to make Angry Birds a FAIL SPORT. seriously disappointing.

News came out two days ago that we would finally get some updates over the basic two or three stages in the current version but still nothing. Got bred with this after two days due to lack of maps, three stars in all but one or two so we need those updates.

So first off, 2 stars is for how Amazon has handled updates to this game.

I've had my entire game progress wiped out by updating three times, and one of the "updates" was actually a downgrade. I don't know if this is a problem with what Rovio is supplying Amazon, or something with Amazon's app store. Either way, it's completely unacceptable and people have good reason to be ticked off. I had this happen with the standard Angry Birds game as well (installation of "updates" = save game wipe).

Although it's too late for those of you that have lost your save game data, I strongly suggest getting the app Angry Birds Backup (the app made by Sergio Patricio) from the Google Play store. I've been using the app regularly to backup my game saves to SD card. So when Amazon released their bugged "updates", I was able to recover my progress. It's ridiculous I have to use it for something other than catastrophic phone failure, but there you go. Please note, I don't get anything from suggesting his app, I have just used it and know it works well and it has saved me loads of frustration... I can't stand losing progress in any game.

That said, the game itself is as fun as the other AB versions with a few twists on game play. You've got the fun levels, the quick levels, and the levels that make you want to throw your phone at the wall when you're trying to get all 3 stars. Good, cheap time wasting entertainment.

I have the same problem on my Samsung Intercept, the graphics are so messed up. Have tried uninstalling, rebooting the phone and re-installing a few times but it didn't make any difference. Same problem with the Premium version too.
