Product Description
Angry Birds Space HD
Angry Birds Space HD
Revenge is a dish best served... in outer space

Blast off into the final frontier with your favorite avian avengers! The Angry Birds are back, and this time even the Earth can't contain their fury.

Angry Birds Space, the all-new adventure from Rovio, takes you to straight to the cosmos, where the feathers continue to fly. This time, the familiar physics-based gameplay of the original Angry Birds games comes with a NASA-style twist: the birds' slingshot trajectories are affected by different gravitational fields as they navigate planets, black holes, stars, and more.

Angry Birds Space features 80 interstellar levels on celestial bodies and in zero gravity, resulting in spectacular gameplay ranging from slow-motion puzzles to lightspeed destruction. With regular free updates, brand-new birds, brand-new super powers, and a whole galaxy to explore, the sky is no longer the limit!

Angry Birds Space HD
The adventure begins with a cold-hearted theft
Where No Angry Bird Has Gone Before

The Angry Birds have achieved a lot in the last two years, but apparently peace on Earth wasn't good enough. The evil pigs have taken the fight to outer space, and the Angry Birds are right on their curly tails.

After a giant claw kidnaps their eggs, the Angry Birds chase it into a wormhole and find themselves floating in a strange new galaxy--surrounded by space pigs. Luckily for our feathered friends, a funny thing happened when the Angry Birds passed through this cosmic portal: they emerged with amazing super powers of their own.

Now the birds and pigs are locked in a fierce intergalactic battle, fighting on and above rocky asteroids, icy planets, forbidding black holes, and much more. The Angry Birds have brought along their handy, enormous slingshot, of course; but the outer-space environment creates new, unpredictable flight conditions. No longer can they just rear back, fire, and hope for the best.

Angry Birds Space HD
Battle evil pigs on small, rocky asteroids...
Science: Surprisingly Useful

It's your job to help the Angry Birds cope with these cosmic forces. The trick is to consider the gravitational pull of any celestial body that a bird passes. If you aim too close to a planet, you're pulled into its orbit and it will fling you elsewhere. You can use this orbital boost to your advantage, too, but be careful--if you don't aim close enough, you'll miss the orbit entirely and your bird will float off to a lonely destiny in deep space.

Still, Angry Birds have no fear, and neither should you. As you aim, helpful tracer lines reveal your projected path, so you'll learn quickly. From there, it's classic Angry Birds slingshot fun: slide your finger on the screen and let go to pull back and fling your avian friends. Tap the screen mid-flight to unleash a bird's special ability. Pinch to zoom in and out of the environments, and drag your finger to view different parts of each stage.

Angry Birds Space HD
...and huge, icy planets
Boom Goes the (Cosmic) Dynamite

Use the birds and their powers to break through piles of space junk that the pigs use for protection. Crates, boards, stone, glass, TNT--even space bubbles, icy spheres, and the occasional rocket ship--are no match for an accurate shot with the right bird. As you progress through the game, you'll face plenty of unique challenges and super villains (including the menacing Space King, who pilots a flying saucer fixed with a big claw--perfect for snatching eggs).

You'll also notice amazingly detailed scenes and evocative music. The game features lush colors, startlingly beautiful cosmic scenes, and NASA-approved renditions of actual space physics. Cinematic music takes each scene to a higher level of fun and intensity, as dramatic orchestral swells vie with audio elements inspired by sci-fi TV shows.

Stronger, Faster, Angrier Birds

Pursuing the pigs into outer space, the Angry Birds took a perilous journey into a wormhole. They all made it through in one piece, but each emerged with new super powers. And they gained a new member of the flock, as well!

Red: Leader of the Angry Birds, Red now dons a spiffy mask. He uses the mask's built-in goggles to help him see the flight path that will cause the most destruction.

Lazer Bird: Formerly known as Yellow Bird, Lazer Bird is now one of the fastest objects in the universe.

The Blues: Always daring and inquisitive, this trio of small birds now have the ability to crack and smash frozen objects.

The Incredible Terence: The largest of the birds, this not-so-gentle giant squashes and destroys anything that gets in his way.

Bomb: A bird with exceptional anger problems and a short fuse, Bomb uses his super power to incinerate any material in his path.

Ice Bird: The newest member of the flock, Ice Bird is an extra-terrestrial who can turn anything he touches into solid ice.

Reviews for the Original Angry Birds

"It's a very simple formula, but thanks to precise controls, great puzzle designs, and excellent atmosphere, Angry Birds is outrageously addictive. (Really, I am sleepy today because I played this until three in the morning.)"

"Angry Birds might not have a lot of extra features besides its single player mode, but to be honest, that mode alone makes the game a fantastic value." -TouchArcade

"What does it take to make an addictive game? Not much--just throw in some super simple controls, cute graphics, and basic physics. Rovio Mobile's Angry Birds is one such game that includes all these elements..." -Engadget

"The reaction of the objects as they topple and splinter, knocking other sections over and (if you're lucky) squishing the pigs within is a constant delight, and ensures that you'll play the same levels multiple times in a bid to get a full three-star rating. To all those who've been waiting - here comes a very good thing." -PocketGamer

Do you recognize the classic game that inspired this bonus level?
Bonus Content

As with previous Angry Birds games, Angry Birds Space offers a plethora of cool bonus content waiting to be unlocked. Here, as you unlock shiny Eggsteroids, you'll find bonus levels that pay homage to classic video games of the past.

Play hard, unlock new levels, and see what delightful interpretations of well-known video games await. All of them integrate Angry Birds characters into the gameplay, of course, for a surprising and fun fusion of old-school and new-generation gaming!

From Game to Phenomenon: The Rovio Story

The road to Angry Birds began in 2003, when three Finnish students entered a mobile-game development competition. Their game, King of the Cabbage World, was the first real-time, multiplayer game for mobile phones. The trio soon formed what would become Rovio.

Angry Birds was released in December 2009, after the iPhone and just as the Android universe started to explode. The game achieved unprecedented success: to date, the game and its sequels have generated more than 700 million downloads, as well as a firm foothold in popular culture.

5.0 out of 5 stars finally something fresh March 22, 2012

This is definitely the best Angry Birds since the first one came out. The last 2 releases were really just clones of the original and didn't feature much new content at all.

Angry Birds Space changes the way the game is played. They now give you a line to see the route the bird will take, but the game definitely isn't easier as they've complicated matters with things like gravitational field entry and exit (including orbit).

The visuals, the music and the gameplay are all big plusses here that bring something fresh to the Angry Birds title.

I downloaded Angry Birds in Space and have had a ball with it! This 60 year young grandma thinks it is a hoot to shoot those nasty green pigs. Plus the theme music always tells hubby I am busy doing stress release with the game. An added bonus!! LOL

5.0 out of 5 stars Planetary Gravity! Great new challenges. December 28, 2012
The birdies are in space! Fling them across new scenarios, send them orbiting around planets, and collect those golden eggs while you're at it.

This version of Angry Birds is a wonderful challenge that includes the effects of zero gravity as well as planetary gravity wherein you send the birds orbiting through the atmosphere to demolish pig towers that may be on the other side of a planet or other obstruction.

I loved the new challenges, the graphics, and the spacey twists to the classic Angry Birds game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Angry Birds fans won't be disappointed April 16, 2012
By Zurkon
Angry Birds taken to the next level is a complete success! I won't get into the nature of Angry Birds, but I will say the added feature of space is fantastic! It adds a great bit of new play styles, throwing your birds around the gravity of planets and in completely weightless environments. The laser bird is also a great upgrade. The entire game is considerably smoother in control and play that previous versions, and is a pleasure all around ... except for the following.

My complaints about it: Firstly, it doesn't come with a lot of levels, yet. They'll obviously be putting more in, as they do with all the AB games, but it's a bit slim pickings at the moment. I'm not docking it a point for this, though, but am more frustrated that to get it on the Kindle Fire at all, you must pay for it, and at 3 times the cost of the normal mobile version. The free version on my old Galaxy S looks and plays just as great, and Angry Birds has always scaled up well to larger screens, so I find this disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiration for Angry Birds Star Wars? December 28, 2012
Verified Purchase
For a franchise that is in danger of becoming a victim of its own success, Angry Birds sure is doing a great job of remaking itself and staying fresh and fun. It's no wonder this is considered the gold standard for all apps to live up to. Angry Birds Space really is innovative and fun. They've reimagined their own format to come up with something entirely new, yet familiar enough to keep avid fans happy. The gravity is outstanding and clearly this must have inspired the move to make the Star Wars edition. It's one of the few (non-word) apps that I installed on my tablet first, yet still finds a way to keep my interest. Though, I still have yet to get a paid version. It's fun, but I guess not enough to make me splurge a couple bucks on every new iteration. Worthwhile download though and fun distraction.
