Word to the wise: I like everything about this book except that Amazon's description of the product indicated it (the paperback version) would be packaged with an accompanying CD. I did order the paperback; however, no CD was included.

I have purchased almost all of the books written and beautifully illustrated by Iza Trapani for my numerous neices and nephews. They are loved by the kids as well as their parents. They particularly like Row Row Row Your Boat, which is the newest book in the collection. We anxiously await Ms. Trapani's next book!

My mom is a librarian now after nearly 30 years of teaching Kindergarten (five of which were spent teaching 1st thru 3rd grade). She does the story times at her library. She recommended these books to me for our two year-old daughter. Our daughter knows and loves these songs and the artwork is simply unmatched in Trapani books. You will not be disappointed with any of her books. Promise.

As with her other works, Ms Trapani's "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" is another winner. Ms Trapani is able to take a simple, well-loved nursery rhyme and expand it and in the process providing for an immensely enjoyable reading/singing aloud experience. In this book, a bear family goes on an excursion and the illustrations are just darling - colorful and whimsical. Highly recommended!

I am fond of this author/illustrator in general, but this might be my favorite of her extended nursery rhymes. Sometimes her lyrics are a little awkward (but clever), in that the cadence isn't quite right. Not so with this one, it's how Row, Row, Row Your Boat should have been written all along.

the whole family enjoys reading/singing this book. i first found this at the library and then i had to buy it. very cute book. :)

I received this book as a gift for my 2 year old son. When we first read it he seemed to really like it. Now, it is one of his favorite books. Of course, I read the story by singing it like the song and I found that the new "lyrics" flowed fairly well. The illustrations are beautiful and the medium is watercolor. The story idea is creative and funny at times. My son's favorite part is when the animals are eating. I am a teacher and would highly recommend this book. I did a poetry lesson with my third graders by having them create their own version of this song by writing one stanza and then illustrating it. They loved it and it was a great way to teach across the disciplines of art, music, poetry and writing.

We all know the first verse of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, but the other verses are not as common. This book has such sweet illustrations and the other verses are enchanting. Every little one will enjoy this one. I have put a new one in our hope chest for my grandbabies one day:)

Iza Trapani is one of the best! I love everyone of her books! And so does my grandaughter. I don't have time to review every book I have bought, but if her name is attached to it, it is going to be GREAT!
