I"ve had this steamer less than one month when it began to malfunction. As soon as I take it off of the hook, it shuts off. This was the most money that I have ever paid for a clothes steamer. it is still under its 6-month warranty but I will have to travel 35 miles to a repair shop.While it is being repaired I will have to resort to an iron or other sources. I'm quite disappointed in this product.

This steamer is nicely done in terms of style and function. It will do 98% of what you use the Iron for today in half the time, with better results (you still need the Iron to create seams). Just be sure to use distilled water for long life. I used softened tap water thinking it would be fine, but after some time, the mineral remnants clogged the heating mechanism. I took it apart easily to clean it out and get it going again. If you use distilled water, there won't be any minerals to deposit and cause the issue (this would happen to any manufacturers models). I believe that this model has a great bang for the buck ratio compared to others for style and features. I bought another Rowenta steamer for my mother in-law because she kept borrowing ours. :)

I'm sure I will love it, when I can get Amazon's site to let me explain that it came missing one of the most important parts. The piece that holds the hanger and steamer head was not included in the box. Over all very frustrating order.
