5.0 out of 5 stars I finally found a travel iron that actually works!!!
Over the years I have purchased a number of travel irons, only to be disappointed when they did not do the job. I resigned myself to wearing wrinkled clothes on vacation. But I have to say the Rowenta has made a believer out of me. Unlike most travel irons, this heats just as well as an home iron and it does an excellent job when it is used as a vertical steamer. 2.0 out of 5 stars Good travel iron, not so much for regular use
We bought this almost six months ago and found it to be a nice compact and light travel iron that could be easily used with just a electrical plug adapter while in Europe. We were in Europe for an extended stay and had to use it regularly. There was occasional leakage problems, but that was probably due to the fact that my wife used distilled water exclusively, as the...

And the nylon carry case is a plus.

I cannot recommend this product enough. Buy with confidence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Travel Sharp, March 29, 2002

As a veteran hotel jockey, I try to unfold our suitcase to find a travel mess with our clothing. The travel inon from Rowenta has been not only a travel saver, but a business saver. We look as great as (or at least our clothes) possible. The multi-function of the steam is the best we have encountered. An added bonus, was is the free shipping with a purchase over [money] with Amazon.com. A truly winning combination. We could not sing enough praise about this product. It even looks great! The price at Amazon is even the best we have found. A travel jockey must!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Travel Iron!, January 8, 2004

I travel quite a bit with my fiance and we always had wrinkled clothes after my poor packing job in our suitcase. I decided to get this travel iron to help and I have not been disappointed!

This iron is tiny (weighs I think 1.7 pounds) and works extremely well! It heats up just as well as my at home iron! One of the other great features is the vertical steamer, which works extremely well too. It is very portable, especially since the handle folds to lie flat. It comes in a nice travel pouch as well.

The cost is extremely reasonable too, especially if it shows up in your gold box! With free shipping its a real bargin. I highly recommend this iron, you will not be disappointed!

This iron was sturdy and reliable to use in the US and Europe, still I recommend that if you are going to the Middle East or Africa, you do not take it with you, even with the travel adapters, the current over there fried mine.

I purchased this iron to use with sewing projects when I travel. It provides a generous amount of steam, is very easy to use, and is lightweight and easy to pack. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

We bought this almost six months ago and found it to be a nice compact and light travel iron that could be easily used with just a electrical plug adapter while in Europe. We were in Europe for an extended stay and had to use it regularly. There was occasional leakage problems, but that was probably due to the fact that my wife used distilled water exclusively, as the owner's manual directed one to use regular tap water. The main problem is the electrical cord. When packed into it's carrying case, it is a bit too tight and thus damaged the cord near to where it connects to the iron. The protecting "collar" on the cord wasn't long enough to protect it. If we knew this beforehand, we would've been more careful and could've fashioned a "collar" of our own. Now it is not heating up. I'm trying to replace the cord myself, but it doesn't look like it will be possible to put it back together so that it can function well. It is a shame as it was functioning rather well.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS LITTLE IRON ROCKS!!!!, April 26, 2005

WOW - my sister owns this iron and when we went on a trip together I used hers and it is AWESOME! Using hers prompted me to buy this one and with the price and free shipping from Amazon, you can't beat it. I have a very nice and expensive full size iron, but this works better. I use it all the time now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small iron does large job, November 9, 2006

I have been searching for a travel sized STEAM iron, and this is it! The dual voltage makes it great for overseas travel, and the lightweight is perfect for the suitcase. Comfortable grip, great quality. I have recommended these to many friends. No more ruining clothes with poor quality hotel irons!

A good product. Small with a collapsible handle. Be careful with the wattage. This is 1000W and I blew a fuse on my 500W power converter. Then I got smart and used a pin adapter and plugged directly into the wall. Worked great. I like it better than my full-size iron at home.

5.0 out of 5 stars At Last a Travel Iron That Works, January 4, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rowenta DA-35 Latitude 35 Compact Iron with Dual Voltage for Travel (Kitchen)
My husband and I travel quite extensively and have purchased several travel irons in the past only to be disappointed in their performance. They usually don't get hot enough or they don't steam. This iron, irons as well as my full sized iron that I use at home. I would definately recommend this iron to any one who travels, especially for cruisers since cruising entails packing a lot of dressy clothes which always need some touching up before you can wear them.
