4.0 out of 5 stars Rowenta Ironing board
A stable board with solid legs supporting it. The board is wide enough to accommodate larger pieces to iron. The slide platform for the iron is convenient, but not constructed through. Instead of rubber to secure he iron, ceramic withstanding heat would be better.

1.0 out of 5 stars lopsided board!
I ordered this board a month ago. When I set it up, the back legs were defectively uneven and of course it leaned quite a bit unless you put a book underneath the shorter leg to balance it out. I was so surprised to see this in a supposedly good quality board! I've never spent $80 for an ironing board before so this really disappoints me. I directly called the Rowenta...

1.0 out of 5 stars lopsided board!, August 6, 2007
This review is from: Rowenta Professional Ironing Board Ib4300 (Kitchen)
I ordered this board a month ago. When I set it up, the back legs were defectively uneven and of course it leaned quite a bit unless you put a book underneath the shorter leg to balance it out. I was so surprised to see this in a supposedly good quality board! I've never spent $80 for an ironing board before so this really disappoints me. I directly called the Rowenta company and the girl was very nice and apologetic about my defective board and was very surprised to hear this. She said they were made in Italy and never had a problem before but this particular model was new so ... Anyway, she said to just send the cover back plus the label underneath the board and they will send a replacement. Btw, the label says it was made in China. The girl was also surprised to hear this. I was worried that it might be a design flaw and maybe a whole slew of these boards have uneven legs but she assured me it was probably just a fluke. Well, I received the replacement today and you guessed it .. it was defective too!! This one is just as lopsided as the first one if not more! I wonder why no one else has written a review on this board unless I'm the only one that has bought it so far?? It was too late to call Rowenta but will do so tomorrow first thing in the morning. I don't want to go through Amazon because they will tell me to ship it back and I can't afford to pay that kind of postage. This thing is quite heavy! I would love the board otherwise. Sigh.
