This ironing board is well built and well intentioned for the male ironer, as myself, who prefers ironed clothes and does it himself. The unit is strong and extremely well built. I highly recommend it!

I've had this ironing board and cover for over a year and was beginning to see scorch marks which transfer to damp items very readily. So, I washed it according to directions in warm/cool/delicate. Then I put it back on the board to dry in order to avoid any shrikage. It worked beautifully; like new. This is an expensive cover so being able to extend its life is a real plus. Many covers cannot be washed or come out of the wash in poor condition. At the time I bought the board, I bought an extra cover at a good price but am happy to say I won't be needing it for some time.
