Very Poor Software - Not worth the Price,

This review is from: Recordnow 10 Music Lab (CD-ROM)
I've used previous Roxio software and didn't have much difficulty using it. However, this software doesn't deliver what it says it will. Logical functionality doesn't exist and you're left trying to fight through some very poorly written programming. Documentation is basically non-existent. This product should be forced to be pulled from the shelf by the consumer protection agency becasue the buyer will not get value from it as advertised. At best, this software is at a poorly written "freeware" level. Stay clear of it.

Very difficult to use. Not intuitive. You are better served by saving your money and using Windows Media Player, etc. et al. Unable to create a Playlist on pre-recorded or self created CDs. A WASTE OF MONEY.

Broke a brand new computer,
By bronzelow (Saratoga, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Recordnow 10 Music Lab (CD-ROM)
I installed it on a new Windows 7 Home Premium machine and, while it worked great briefly, I ended up restoring the factory image. The machine ground to a halt, and I couldn't unistall the software.
If they made Roxio 6 Windows 7 compatible I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but these newer Roxio products don't work.

WHAT A WASTE !,
By Bobby Blue "A kid at heart" (Eagleville, PA United States) - See all my reviews

i purchased Music Lab 10 for Windows 7 for $57.00. I see it's still overpriced at $25.00. To install this program you must type the code Which is supplied on the jacket on the jewel case. I continuously received a 'CODE NOT VALID' message. I tried it on another computer and had the same result. I sent email to Roxio who would did not reply to my email. Since I used my Amazon charge card I contaced Chase Bank and submitted a dispute. Chase obviously did not get a satisfactory reply. Chase sent me a letter explaining this dispute is settled, I received a "RETURN REFUND" on my statement and I still have not heard from Roxio. So here I am with an unusable Music Lab 10 for Windows 7 and a code number that don't work. Even if they would bring the price down to 1 cent your going to be taken in. Roxio was good in it's day but it's apparent that a new clan has taken over the company and are taken over their customers. ROXIO - GET A LIFE !

I couldn't get the program to even install in Vista. I kept getting an error message during instillation, and I couldn't find any information on Roxio's website.

Compatability problems,
This review is from: Recordnow 10 Music Lab (CD-ROM)
Disappointed with this product. I run Windows Vista. I have all required system specs to work. The audio converter does not work. I have gone on troubleshooting, blogs, have run updates, still doesn't work. But I can buy and upgrade of this product that "should" make it work. No thanks.

YOU CANNOT RETURN DEFECTIVE ROXIO PRODUCTS!!!,
This review is from: Recordnow 10 Music Lab (CD-ROM)
I purchased MyDVD 9 from Roxio and it failed to work properly. When I consulted their technical support the suggestions they made were based on Windows Vista (it took them over a week to get back to me). The only problem is that my OS is Windows XP which I spelled out very clearly in my initial e-mail request. When I tried to get my money back they said they would not return products that were not purchased directly from Roxio. Consequently, IF YOU BUY ROXIO PRODUCTS YOU CANNOT RETURN THEM!!!

This is a good product, but if you also use iTunes you will have problems. I'm not sure if the problem will exist on Vista, but on XP iTunes 8 will change your registry settings so that Music Lab 10 will not work.

Not Like Sonic Stage,
This review is from: Recordnow 10 Music Lab (CD-ROM)
I agree with other reviewers - save your money. This software doesn't install easily. Need to modify your registry in most cases (real roll of the dice). When it is installed, the look-up on cds doesn't work 95% of the time. Sonic Stage for NetMD always worked (but you have to delete it to install RecordNow Music Lab 10). There has to be better software out there.

Not as hard as you think,
By
This review is from: Recordnow 10 Music Lab (CD-ROM)
If you have used Easy CD Creator before, you will love this program. I tried several other programs, free trial downloads (including Blaze)and found them hard to navigate and hard to get them to do what I want. The instructions are clear and easy to follow on Music Lab - the instruction window pops up IN the program so you can read the instructions and perform them simultaniously. I cleaned and tracked 2, 2 hour, downloaded satellite radio programs in 30 minutes and ripped them to cds. I download alot of DJ sets so I am very pleased with what I can do.
