After checking ringtone maker reviews I picked Xingtone for its ease of use and price. According to their website it works for my phone and provider. After receiving it I was impressed with how easy it was to make ringtones: It has an excellent music file analyzer and ringtone maker, made exactly what I asked for.

THEN I COULDN'T DOWNLOAD TO MY PHONE!!!

Every time I try to d/l a ringtone I make to my phone I get a "Bad Gateway" error message. Doesn't matter how long the ringtone is or what I make, the transfer bombs out after I click on the text message link. Doesn't matter if the ringtone is 30 seconds long or 5 seconds: "Bad Gateway".

It d/ls their test message just fine: Just not any ringtone I make. Their customer support is no help at all. I'm very disappointed in the product.

The software will load on your PC, however does not connect to their network. No phone or online support. Sent e-mail with no response. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Be cautious with which phone you are purchasing this software for....it's not compatible with Verizon's phones, specifically LG 6000 series. They are accepting a full refund for return.

1) Software crashes often
2) Errors when trying to download to my phone (sony ericsson z500a on Cingular, both "supported" by this software)
3) the only way to download ringtones is through browser on phone. This costs money depending on plan with the cellular service provider. (Meaning? Ringtones cannot be downloaded to phone from a laptop through infrared/bluetooth even if both phone/computer supported these communication methods. Yes, very dumb.)

I have uninstalled the software and destroyed the CD by jumping on it with my tap dance shoes on. I feel a little better now.

This software sucks. After I installed it, and I tried to open it a thousand times... Nothing happened. Then I uninstalled and re-installed this thing, nothing changed. I still cannot open the program. Don't even know how this program looks like. Slow down my computer. This is a must return software. Money Back!!!

Downloaded this for Mac and have not had any problems with it. It has it's pros and cons like anything but for ease of use and functionality, it really can't be beat. I have a Motorola RAZR which I just purchased yesterday and I figured out how to use this program faster than the rest of the functions of the phone, so if you just have a little patience, you can get your ringtones done with minimal hassle.

This would be better if you could just hook up via USB though. If you have unlimited text messaging it's probably not a huge deal, but if you have to pay for each....that would get expensive.

Overall, this is still a great deal for the price and WAY cheaper than forking over $2+ for ONE ringtone everytime.

This software stinks! I did go online before buying it to be sure my phone was compatible and it was. But after purchasing it I have no luck downloading to my phone. And the program keeps freezing up and it's not as user friendly as it would have you believe on it's website. Too basic. Yeah, what can you expect for $20 - but, in my view, it's $20 wasted. Leason learned!

Although I have not tried the CD version, I have the downloaded version. You just download it and you can work it without using any cd roms or anything. Its such a GREAT program. You get to pick and create your ringtones from any song and at ANYPOINT! Instead of paying $2 for every ringtone and they dont even start it at the point you like it. (IE Cingular and T-Mobile)
I found this item the best ringtone maker Ive ever used. But one thing that would make this product better is if we could use a USB cable to import the songs instead of thru text messages and then you wouldnt be using up those. But others wise get this product if you want to customize your own ringtones. UNLIMITED RINGTONES FOR ONLY A ONE TIME PAYMENT OF $20!

This program is top notch for it's price. Although, it wasn't what I thought it would be. You do have to have basically premake any audio file before you import it into the program. So, you have to create the audio bit in which you would like to use in a separate spot.

I cannot stress more to make sure you can access the internet through your phone. I didn't know you actually just upload the ringtone, then you download it from your phone. I was under the impression that it is just sent to your phone. I have an older phone that doesn't let me do that.

Also, the purchase of this product only allows you to send ringtones to one phone. Before you enter in the product cold, you may purchase additional licenses for a lesser price, but you should decide that all before hand as the first purchase is always more. You can change the phone number you've registered your license to, but it's more hastle than it's worth. You have to email technical support to have them change the registered phone number.

I recently got this program and it was great. My phone was supported which is always good!!
