If you've ever been to any sort of underground house pary or rave, you've heard Roy Davis Jr.'s records. This is a prime, grade A mix by an old-school house master. The songs flow smoothly as Roy works the deep end, keeping the Chicago feeling intact. If you want to understand house, you MUST understand Chicago. Roy locks on a groove and takes you to the cold streets of the windy city as only a true Chicago master can. This album compares favorably to the house style typified by Derrick Carter and Mark Farina.

If you like deep-funky uplifting house this is definitely the CD to get. The track selection & programming are on-point! Roy Davis lays down some of the most beautiful house music."Gabriel -Peven Everett" is my personal favorite. Rock-Shock the Thomas Banglter(Daft-Punk) colaboration is a funky ride thru house. Finally house music with soul!!!

Roy is blowin' em' away. He is so diverse. His work with Peven Everett is really cuttin' edge. I hope he and Men From the Nile keep on commin' at us hard...

Roy Davis Jr. is an amazing DJ, and this album is no exception. It's funky funky house that's just as great to listen to at home as it is to dance to at a club. I saw him spin live at a club in LA earlier this year and was blown away. . . this guy has so much talent it's scary. I also highly recommend his mix tape Future Experience, if you can get it. Roy is the man.

I heard Roy Davis Jr. on KCRW the other night and loved it. It was one of those songs Jason Bentley of Metropolis catches people's attention with. It keeps me going back to KCRW every night. I especially the song Gabriel.

This tape shows what chicago house is all bout. Roy is loved here in chicago and his music reflects the true chicago house music scene. For those of you who have only heard a little bit of what he has to offer, this cd will educate you. Between him and Paul Johnson how can you go wrong.
