After dozens of cowboy films stretching back to the 1930s, Roy Rogers finally came to the small screen for this long-running hit TV series. He of course was joined by his longtime love and costar, the sparklingly beautiful Dale Evans. Although it's easy to write off as silly kids' stuff, ?The Roy Rogers Show? starred Evans as a strong female figure-she wasn't a damsel in distress, she was Roy's equal partner, both on and off the screen. Includes the episodes "The Unwilling Outlaw" (3/8/51), "Jailbreak" (12/30/51), "Doc Stevens' Traveling Store" (1/6/52) and "Strangers" (12/5/54).
