My wife wanted a down comforter for Christmas this year, and I started shopping. The price on this comforter was unbeatable, and the thread count and fill power could not be beat at this price point in department stores. $135 for a $400 comforter (66% off) was an amazing price. Based on other Royal Hotel reviews, I decided to give this one a try.
It arrived quickly and well-packaged. It was basically vacuum-packed into its bag, and is extremely flat when unpacked. The insert lets you know that you need to fluff it up a bit, and it will reach normal appearance and feeling in several hours, which is true. It looks and feels very nice on its own, but we did purchase a duvet cover to protect it. This is a very soft, warm comforter. Its weight makes you feel like you're being hugged by clouds all night, and I haven't slept better in a long time. I definitely recommend this brand.

Our bedroom is on the second floor of our really old house and the furnace only heats the ground floor. To top it off, we live in Wisconsin. Needless to say, our winters are cold and on average, our bedroom may have only got to about 40 or 50 degrees some nights. We used to sleep with three blankets and still feel like ice but now we can sleep with this down blanket and a sheet and feel like we're sweating. It's changed our lives for the best! I've had the blanket for a few months now and haven't noticed anything regarding the feathers coming out like previous reviews have stated. Maybe I need to wait longer for it to happen? In any case, we love the blanket and if we lose a few feathers, maybe it'll be for the better so we're not sweating!

My wife and I are delighted with this comforter. We keep our bedroom very cool(50-60 degrees)and the comforter and one light sheet have replaced what we used to use. After a day of allowing it to fluff up, the comforter has been a joy to sleep under. The weight is light but yet the warmth is constant and steady. It seems to be of great quality for the price.
