5.0 out of 5 stars Great gift!
i bought this for my grandmother and loaded all of her family album pictures that she hadnt looked at in years onto a memory card and popped it in, pushed 2 or 3 buttons and wala!! Very easy to operate, comes with ac cord so it doesn't run off batteries so she let it run all the time. She loved it, cried when i gave it to her, she recently passed away and now my mother...

2.0 out of 5 stars poor photo quality
It's only redeemingly quality is the price (if you get a good deal). Photo quality is poor, and screen is quite small (3x5). Navigation is not overly complicated, but buttons must be pushed hard to work. It did work perfectly fine - took SD card, even connected to my Mac and drag and drop photos onto the SD card I inserted into the frame. But, because of the poor quality...

I purchased this frame as a gift for a friend of mine. When I saw it on her desk and noticed the terrible quality of the images, I was embarassed that I had given such an inferior item as a gift. Perhaps the images she had loaded were quite low resolution, but the pictures looked terrible with huge pixels.

I would not recommend this item at all.

Ordered two frames from the third party source. Neither on of them worked at all. It has been a nightmare trying to return them for a refund.

It tends to get hot if left on constantly though, might not be good for the inside parts to stay hot all the time.

Not the best UI (easy to figure out, but not intuitive in the slightest), but the picture looks great for the (comparitively) low resolution. The scaling algorithm does a good job of taking high-res pictures and making them look pretty sharp on the low-res screen. SUPER bright display! I was impressed with that. Never ran it on batteries so i can't speak for battery life, but with an AC adapter, it can run all day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Digital Frame for Simple Minds, January 10, 2007

I bought my parents each their own digital picture frame from Christmas. They are NOT technical geeks by any stretch of the imagination. They love it! The frame was easy to set up and easy to use with the SD card. The only cons to this product... the resolution isn't to my standard (but more than ample for people who aren't self proclaimed photography-snobs). I also wish that it had an option greater than 12 seconds between pictures. 30 seconds would be nice so that it doesn't make you feel like you're watching a Powerpoint Presentation all day. I would strongly recommend this product. For the price, you can't beat it!
