Royal Albert Old Country Roses 9-Piece Tea set Completer Set

I was excited when I saw the price since I very much wanted to buy this product. The reviews I read suggested that the cup-saucers are good size too. So expected big cups and a big teapot (that I purchased separately). But I guess I am used to bigger size cups and teapots. These are just OK in size - for a true tea drinker.

The design looks impressive and expensive still the finish is not the same as the original (made in England products) that I was looking for.

In past when the companies made products away from their original manufacturing places, they were called "blue goods". I guess this is what it is. Only good thing about this is that now I can use if without fear.

Importantly, the stickers should be all at the bottom. However, they are all over the place and leave adhesive on the cups, teapot and saucers- which are difficult to remove.

At this price, and with this manufacturer's name, I am sure a company such as Royal Albert can insist on using half way decent adhesive stickers and apply the quality control that look into their proper placement. (After all aren't we buying these for their name and reputation?)

In conclusion, buy it if you like it but do not buy it for its name and quality if you are looking for one.

This was a gift to my granddaughter at Christmas. Her eyes lit up and a great big smile covered her face when she opened it up. The set goes with her china so she was very well pleased. I was pleased with the set and the price. It met every exectation.

We needed a tea set to complete a dinner service booght 30 years ago. It matched perfectly and we love it. A very good value also.

good, but no original from england, i still think the best ones should made in england. the tray is a little small

Royal Albert, County Rose tea set. collected pieces for twenty Five years. Classic,quality product. My wife cried when she opened this gift. Reminded her of our Grandmothers tea set. Buy without reserve. This is great.
