I bought this primarily because I figured I could not go wrong at the price it was offered at. Amazon is selling this set for far cheaper than anyone else online. I was really very pleased when this product arrived today. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my Mother and she is going to be blown away. The tea pot is large, not overly, but it is certainly not a dainty piece. The cream and sugar pieces are lovely. Very high quality detailing, the gold is not gawdy. Comes very very well packaged. I am glad I bought some other pieces to match on a whim, hoping that the tea set would be beautiful. I received the matching tea cups and coffee pot. Also beautiful though the coffee pot did not come in its own packing box (it did arrive intact). If you are looking for a lovely piece of china that is proud to display but usable for company, I highly recommend this set.

I bought a set recently and unfortunatley it is made in china. We have some older ones and they are much different

The exact same set is available from Dillards here in Tulsa and the price is over $200 just for the teapot. I bought it for my mother who has been wanting it since the 80's. I gave it to her for Christmas and she cried. It's got the original 1962 Royal Albert stamp on each piece. Comes brand new in royal albert boxes. It is the fine style of China not the version that is machine made in China. I bought her some of that too. She noticed the difference right away. The other items do not have the 1962 stamp and are pretty, but not the same. The tea set was a hit. We love it.

People, please, do not give bad reviews because the items are not made in England. You should get the negative review yourself, for not knowing that Royal Doulton moved their production of dishes to Indonesia and China more than 8 years ago. Get informed! before you buy and item.

I had this set on my wish list for three years and I couldn't pass up the great price! It is amazing! Definitely more beautiful in person than in the picture. It's sad they don't manufacture in England anymore, but that doesn't disturb the fine quality that is Royal Albert!

I was pleased with the 3 Piece Tea Set made in China. The design (the old country roses) is beautiful and the china looks sturdy (in a delicate kind of way). Again, the tea cup and saucer ordered at the same time and shipped separately made in Indonesia appears of much inferior quality.
Again the 3 Piece Tea Set made in China is just gorgeous. I am very pleased. It will look absolutely elegant on my antique Tea Cart. Again my question is, when you order the Royal Albert Old Country Roses Dinnerware, how do you know ahead of time if it was manufactured in China or Indonesia???

Due to the poor packaging the gold coating on creamer's handle got rubbed off badly, I was going to get it replaced but it was out of the stock, so now I have to find something replace it on Ebay, how disappointed :(

It is not England made but it is absolutely gorgeous, you can't tell the difference if you don't look at the bottom of the pot. I've looked everywhere for better price but not found. I bought this from Amazon and even paid more than what they have listed currently, but worth every penny.

Unfortunately, the internal packaging for my set was insufficient and the lid to the tea pot was broken. Amazon arranged for a very quick UPS pickup and credited my account immediately for the return. The set is beautiful, the price is great....hopefully other sets are correctly packaged to arrive intact.

I am very pleased with the quality of the Old County Roses tea set, as well as the quickness of delivery. The tea set is to be a gift for my sister and I will be most proud to add to her collection of Old Country Roses.
