wayward relationship,
By Georgia Kent "gk" (Providence, RI United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Royal Baby Bargain (Harlequin Presents) (Mass Market Paperback)
The book is not that bad -- as far as Harlequin books go. But the relationship described comes across as based on nothing more than lust and sex. It's a pity, the story had a decent premise. Not worth keeping.Heroine's spoilt-rich friend dies in an accident. Heroine promises to raise the friend's baby boy. She hops from place to place for a few years, hiding from the said rich friend's brother, Caelan. He's a prince. And Mediterranean. And of Celt descent (what a mess :). And he wants the boy. That's the premise. Here comes the rest of the story: Caelan finds heroine, moves her to fancy apartment, marries her (princedom et all), whisks her to exotic island for the night, falls in lust with her at about page 10. Bleagh. Try Lynne Graham's "Bond of Hatred" instead. |
