Canada's version of the singing cowboy is here to save the day! Renfrew is a gruff Mountie (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) who roams the wild of the Great White North; the film was a smash hit and spawned a series of Mountie adventures. When a ring of money counterfeiters is discovered, Renfrew must somehow infiltrate the organization. Fortunately, the engraver is being forced to do the work and plants a secret plea for help on the money. The crafty Renfrew discovers the clue and eventually finds the evil Americans who are smuggling the money across the boarder in ice blocks. A splendid light hearted affair, Renfrew of the Royal Mounted is full of fun Canadian songs and enjoyable action on horseback that entertains throughout.

This is the first Renfrew movie. There are others also available on DVD. Terrific and amusing action comedy. 1 hour black and white. Renfrew, charming, gracious, smart and skilled, can ride a horse, drive cars and motorcycles, pilot planes (and parachute), dive from cliffs, beat bad guys with fisticuffs or, if he must, shoot them in the hand, win cooking contests, sing quite well, romance damsels in distress, make a magnifying glass out of a drop of water and loves his dog. What more could you want?
Extremely entertaining.
