Not useful as a cane May 19, 2012
Took a chance that this cane would work for me even though it is not adjustable. First the pros -- it is sturdy, well made, and the carrying case turned out to be very handy. However, I am 5'3" and it is just too tall. I could not sit on it as intended, although it did work if I sat astride it like others have described. The reason I am only giving it two stars is the handle. If you need a cane that you can put some weight on, the handle design of this one will hurt your hand. Basically you have to grasp the two loops with one hand to lift it and put your weight on the two loops to lean on it. That combined with the extra weight make it pretty useless as a cane no matter what your height is.
