Three original stories about Disney Princesses and they horses they love!

In ARIEL'S BABY BEAU, Eric surprises Ariel and gives her Beau, a baby horse of her very own! Ariel and Beau are inseperable, and it's all fun and games -- until Beau starts growing up! Can Ariel find a way to make Beau realize that he's a horse and not a household pet?

In BUTTERCUP THE BRAVE, Aurora thinks she's found the perfect horse for her. Buttercup is bold, proud, and brave -- until she takes him for a ride in the forest and he's scared of everything! Is Buttercup really the right horse for Aurora?

In THE DESERT RACE, Jasmine wants to compete on her horse and try to win the prized Golden Palm trophy. But her father, the Sultan of Agrabah, says it too dangerous, and that Aladdin should compete instead! Can Jasmine prove that Midnight is the fastes horse in all the land?

This books has beautiful illustrations and charming stories. Don't miss out on getting this book for your princess! Great for Disney Princess fans of ALL ages! Be sure to purchase Enchanted Stables (Disney Princess) too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice, April 16, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Royal Champions: An Enchanted Stables Storybook (Disney Princess (Disney Press Unnumbered)) (Hardcover)
I really was impressed with this book. It was nice to see a new story about the princesses and see them in new outfits. Disney so often reuses the same stuff over and over and repackages as "new". This refreshing story felt true to the charaters. The continuation into life after the movies was so flawless even I was amazed. I never mind reading this when reqested. I guess the only down side is the book is kinda heavy to hold up so long (we like to read laying down before naps). I won't have minded if they came in single stories. The artwork is really beautiful. They have really set the bar for new princess stories after this. If you've got a princess in your house, horse fan or not like mine, they will love this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Three Disney princesses and their beautiful horses!, April 18, 2010
This review is from: Royal Champions: An Enchanted Stables Storybook (Disney Princess (Disney Press Unnumbered)) (Hardcover)
My 5-year-old daughter loves the Disney princesses (her favorite is Ariel) and when we came across this book at the bookstore, we both thought it would be a fun read (and it was discounted too). Well, I'm glad we purchased it because she really enjoyed the stories (and I was thrilled that she was able to read quite a bit of the book herself).

There are three stories in this book, but the stories are actually quite long (about 15 minutes per story), and the illustrations are in full-color and gorgeous. The first story is about Princess Ariel who is now married and living the life of a mortal princess. She adopts a little foal, Beau and becomes so attached to him that she refuses to part from Beau, and keeps him in the palace as a pet. It is only much later that Ariel realizes that Beau is more suited to a life outdoors.

The second story is about Princess Aurora who trains a warhorse to be her riding horse and re-names him Buttercup (his original name was Brutus). Aurora is proud of her brave horse until she takes him to meet her fairy godmothers in the woods and finds Buttercup has fears of his own. The last story is about Princess Jasmine and her horse Midnight. There is to be a Desert Race and the Sultan, Jasmine's father wishes that his kingdom of Agrabah will triumph over their rival Zagrabah. Jasmine wishes to participate in the race, but the Sultan is against it. It is left to Jasmine to convince everyone that she and Midnight make a great team and can win the race.

The stories are engaging and will surely delight young readers who love princesses and horses!
