The Royal DA312 combination strip-cut and crosscut shredder is a compact model with a wastebasket. You can sliver your sensitive documents into 0.25-inch shreds or 0.38-by-0.75-inch crosscut confetti. The DA312 handles up to 12 strip-cut or three crosscut pages in one quick pass. The large-capacity wastebasket holds up to 300 sheets of paper and has a full-basket indicator.

With the Royal DA312 shredder you can shred confidential business and personal information such as financial documents, old credit card and bank statements, and expired tax forms while sitting at your desk. Two 9-inch paper-entry slots speed the destruction of old files, designs, business plans, and board minutes, making them unreadable to anyone else. The auto start/stop provides safety and efficiency benefits.

This shredder worked really well for about 2 weeks and then only worked if I banged on the basket and otherwise jiggled it. Now it rarely works at all. I'm giving up on it and tossing it.

It worked for about 2 weeks fine, after which shredding became troublesome (and I used it only 2-3 times a day with 2-3 pages at a time, sparingly). After another month or so, the thing broke on me completely, and now I use it as a paperweight for the stack of unshredded documents, which I have to take to work and shred it there.
Do not buy this piece of junk!!!

Stopped working after 2 weeks. Had it worked on and it then stopped working 3 weeks after that. Ended up in the dumpster.
