This set is beautifully crafted and the pieces look awesome. It has both letters and numbers on the sides for notation and the size is pretty good so you can move the pieces around easily. The only drawback is that the piece holders are a bit loose but once you put the pieces in it won't be a problem anymore. Overall an awesome chess set.

I read the reviews here before purchase. I am very happy with this chess set, compact for storage, but nice sized board for playing, I agree with others who said they would have expected to pay more for this set. If the pieces are handled nicely and stored where they are supposed to be, this set should last a long time. In other words...I will not let my kids get ahold of it without supervision! I am very happy with my purchase!
