5.0 out of 5 stars A Temporary Princess, February 2, 2010
The Principality of Castaliae is tucked between France and the rest of Europe. It's a beautiful place to live and would be a beautiful place to rule. Unfortunately for Prince Alastair, who is engaged to the beautiful Belle, he may not get the chance. You see Alastair's older brother Louis was a womanizer and a drinker, who frittered away so much that his uncle put a provision in his will. For Louis to inherit the title, he has to marry a woman of unimpeachable virtue. Louis died shortly after the uncle and now Alastair is stuck with that pesky provision in that pesky will. And it is pesky, because not only has Belle been married before, but she'd been a floozy, recently graduating to gold digger.

When Alastair's mother comes to them with the perfect solution, Alastair at first refuses, but what can he do, the fate of his people is in his hands? Even Belle agrees, he must marry Penny-Rose O'Shea for a year, to honor the will, then they can divorce and he can marry Belle.

Young Australian Penny-Rose is working on the stone walls of the ancient castle Castaliae, which are in a horrible state of disrepair. She's working with a team of stonewallers from Yorkshire, the best stonewallers in the world. Yes, it's a man's work, however Penny is a tough, but beautiful girl who has an eye on her future. When this job is finished she'll be able to go back to Australia and demand any price she wants for her work.

When the prince proposes his proposal then proposes, Penny-Rose is at first stunned, then rejects him thinking it's a joke, then when she finds out it's not, she's still wary, but eventually she becomes the Princes of Castaliae, but now the question is can she gain a Prince's love.

This was sort of an arranged marriage book, no, gosh darn it, it was an arranged marriage story, which usually I don't like, but our hero here was such a nice prince and who couldn't help but love Penny-Rose.
