Royal Purple makes excellent oil and additives. I have not really noticed any difference with this product. It has gotten much hotter and the temp needle remains the same. I say give it a try.

My truck had been overheating and this lengthened the time it took for it to overheat. After I saw it's effectiveness I changed my transmission oil and motor oil over to Royal Purple, and saw more improvements. Once the actual overheating problem was fixed the engine now runs colder than it ever has!

I recently purchased a bottle of RP Ice for my 91 Mazda Miata.of course living in Florida high heat temps rob performance so I put a bottle in after doing a cooling system flush and I also purchased a straight coolant and I don't use 50/50 I make 70 water/30 coolant mix I use bottled water .anyway my temps were around 200F and 210 when my radiator fans come on with the purple ice my temps stay around 175 and my radiator fans turn on at 200 now my engine is much cooler and my fuel mileage did improve now.

it works, and i know it, but honestly unless your running straight water in your radiator (which should never be done with a daily driver) no additive really does much for you unless your already having overheating problems (in which you need to do a bit more than just an additive) royal purple is a great brand though, and i trust their fluids in my rig.

I would not recommend running RP ICE with Aluminum engine or radiators with DISTILLED WATER.

This ONLY applies to DISTILLED WATER with out anti-freeze. RP ICE with distilled water is corrosive and will eat away at your aluminum engine parts.

I ran RP ICE with distilled water combo for max cooling for my track car. What happened was my heater core was corroded and started leaking from corrosion caused by this product.

Also what you will notice is if you get this product on aluminum parts, it will stain the metal white and cannot be wiped off. It also leaves a grey coating inside your radiator and piping.

I would recommend using Redline Water Wetter as an alternative. I get the same results with water wetter and it CAN be used with 100% distilled water with OUT anti freeze.

I am a BIG fan of RP products and PR ICE is the only product from them that i have had problems with.

If you run RP ICE with distilled and ANTI FREEZE, you will be ok. I would still recommend RL Water Wetter

I've reviewed this item in the past, but I feel the need to review it again because this product absolutely works.

After a radiator flush with 16 ounces of SimpleGreen and plenty of water, I loaded two of these bad boys into my cooling system before filling up with Honda OEM Type 2 coolant.

Now, the last time I used one bottle (1oz per quart) and it it took me from 220 degrees to 197, but this time using two bottles (the recommended 2 ounces per quart of coolant) holy heck! My car is running at a balmy 186 degrees. This product absolutely works!

More is NOT better, make sure to run the recommended two ounces per quart of coolant. When I first "installed" this product I used only 1 oz per quart and I netted some substantial benefits, 2 ounces definitely does the trick! If you add too much you run the risk of having your coolant foam up, and your water pump runs the risk of cavitating, not a good thing.

All in all I'd say, why are you still reading this! Buy this now!

I used this product after using royal purple oil and let me tell you my car runs smoother then it ever did. It reduced engine temp by about 15 degrees. The cooler an engine runs the more power and better fuel economy you get. The real advantage of this product is it will prolong the life of your car.

I just ha e to say, and im no certified tech, just a car nit with big pockets, this will noy harm youre aluminum lol @ that, it is a conditioner, this isnt like dumping liquid aluminum in youre radiator, this is no miracle cure for overheating issues i run this in all my mustangs. None of which are under 400hp, alum and iron blocks as i said its no miracle cure, but i think it makes things travel easier throughout the cooling system, i mean who expected to drop 10-15F lol

Works way better than i thought it would in my 2011 dodge charger. Before normally the temp was running 225 with mpg of 24/25. Now its running a normal temp at 185 and only gets to 200 in heavy traffic. Also the mpg is now 28/29 after flushing and replacing with purple ice and water. I highly recommend this.

my hot rod has a new aluminum radiator to help cool the higher horsepower engine. i have not used this product in my other vehicles but decided to try it in my new radiator. royal purple makes top quality products and so far this seems to be working well.
