Product Description

Synchromax is recommended for manual transmissions that require either automatic transmission fluids, multi-viscosity motor oils or straight grade motor oils. It is also ideal for 2-cycle motorcycle gear boxes. It offers improved shift quality over a wide temperature range and reduced gear noise. Synchromax reduces friction for more power, provides superior corrosion protection and lowers operating temperatures. Its superb oxidation stability extends oil life and cleans gear boxes. Contains Synerlec.

I never thought that changing the manual transmission oil in my BMW 330i to synchromax would make any difference. Unbelievable difference in the smoothness of shifting! I will definitely use more of their products in the future!

If you have a 6 speed (NSG370) TJ or JK Wrangler, you should switch to this as soon as possible. You will get smoother shifting, and less metal shavings (wear) stuck to the magnetic drain plug. Been running this in my Wrangler for 30,000 miles now. It's as easy as an oil change. You need 14mm and 17mm hex sockets. One is for the drain plug and one is for the fill plug. You can squirt it in the tranny using the bottle. When it starts oozing out of the fill hole, you can put the plug back in. You'll need 2 bottles (1.6 liters).

Don't forget to also change your diff fluid regularly (every 2-4 oil changes). If you're lazy you can just pump the old fluid out, but I recommend taking the diff cover off and doing a thorough cleaning with some brake cleaner, towel, etc. To do that you need four liters of Mobile 1 75w90. Remove the diff cover bolts, then hit it with a soft hammer (rubber/plastic) until it falls off. Use a razor to scrape the old gasket material off of the diff and diff cover. Be careful not to scrap the metal. Clean everything well with some brake cleaner. Squirt a nice bead of black gasket maker around the diff cover, then reinstall it. Tighten in a star pattern to get a uniform seating. Don't overtighten it. Allow it to dry, then fill it just like you did with the tranny. You might need a small pump though if your Jeep isn't lifted enough.

I have used redline in my M3's transmission for few months, but there was a major difference in shifting after replacing transmission fluid with RP synchromax. Gears are alot smoother and easier to shift even with a short shifter. I will try other RP products in the future for sure.

Just swapped out the gunk that BMW calls transmission fluid for the Royal Purple in my 1997 M3 Manual. I thought I needed to rebuild the transmission, but instead all I needed was to replace the fluid. Definitely recommended!

I used this in a 2003 Focus SVT Getrag 6 speed gearbox. There is a lot of controversy surrounding what the proper fluid would be for this trans, however others have used this synchromax with good results so I did as well. It shifts great at 14 below zero and has been great now that its warming up as well. I will update if my trans flies apart.

I drive a 2006 Acura RSX Type-S. The car is great with right amount of luxury, slightly more performance than I needed for "fun" driving, and good 29 mixed MPG. However, if you search for "RSX 3rd gear," there are lots of frustrated "Honda manual" owners out there. The third gear was a pain and completely unpredictable. It's okay to live with, because the car is otherwise great. From time to time, frequently yet hard to predict, I'd have a hard time getting it in or it would pop out after it just went in. Otherwise, ALL the other gears (6spd) are smooth.
I saw the reviews here, but I was skeptical at how could this be better than Honda OEM tranny fluid. I figured I can't go wrong if it can go into BMWs.
I am glad I tried it. Two bottle (2 qt)of this and $50 labor fee later, the transmission was smooth as butter!!! It felt soooo nice. All the gears just slip into position. I was even able to shift quicker as an unexpected bonus. I waited two weeks of driving it before writing this review, and sure enough, the transmission performed like a dream. Third gear never gave me any problem again.
This RP solved my transmission problem, increased its performance, and possibly, saved me a transmission rebuilt down the road. Simply awesome!

My motorcycle is the happiest, runs it's best, gets way better gas milage, and shifts smoother with this oil.

Thought I might have been imagining things, so at my next oil change interval I used the factory oil; my milage
went from 50+mpg to round 40mpg; my gears started shifting louder and harder, and the bike ran about 50+° hotter.
So after about 3000 miles I thought I'd try this Royal Purple stuff again just to see if I was tripping or something.
Nope, I wasn't tripping, my bike loves this stuff.

I'm not trying to sell Royal Purple, but my bike sold me. I put this Royal Purple back in the motor and transfer case, and
my motorcycle woke back up, able to brake the back tire lose again in 2nd, 3rd & 4th. Not gonna run the factory oil again; that's for sure

I installed this in a Volkswagen 02J gearbox (2000 Jetta TDI) VW calls for a GL4 gear lube in this transmission but after driving for awhile with a bad clutch and having to shove it into gear the synchros were destroyed. Before getting a new transmission I tried some Pennzoil Synchromesh fluid from the local store. I drained the old fluid and it was really full of metal, so I wasnt sure if the Pennzoil would help but immediately the car shifted a whole lot better. I was amazed how well it worked! After a few thousand miles I decided I wanted to do another fluid change to make sure I got most of the metal out from before, so I replaced the Pennzoil with the Royal Purple Synchromax. It shifts just as well or better. It makes the car such a pleasure to drive. I absolutely love it! At 297,000 miles this transmission owes me nothing, but maybe with this fluid I'll be able to get a few more years out of it!
