Is not easy to identify miss spelled words,

I found this product easy to use, but it does not have the graphic resolution I am used to. I don't spell well, so I found it very difficult to find the correct words and the correct spelling of them. The RP Pro is a good entry level electronic dictionary for someone who spells well, but if one needs a high screen resolution and spelling resolution, I recommend getting one of the better Franklin Electronic dictionaries. However, make sure of the size, weight and features of the unit before buying an electronic dictionary - they can be quite different.
My RP Pro came with a Merriam-Webster's dictionary and Thesaurus as part of the enclosed Britannica computer program. That is a plus. *I run it on my Windows XP computer. Conclusion: If one wants a small inexpensive unit that will not break the bank if it gets lost or broken, buy this one because it has a lot of words and is easy to use. Others should look for one with a high screen resolution and Phonetic Spell Correction.

It comes in very handy for children as well as adults for word definitions, spelling and as a translator. Very handy as oppose to taking out the big dictionary and it is portable as well.

I ordered this for my son to use for his middle school classes, and he absolutely loves it. He enjoys playing the SAT games on the device, and he has been able to work the dictionary & thesaurus functions without difficulty. My only complaint regarding the device it that the thesaurus function does not readily offer antonyms for words as well as synonyms, but for a relatively inexpensive device, I don't believe that I could ask for better performance. Please note that we have not used the translation functions at all, so I can not review that function of this device.

I bought this for checking my spelling. It is mostly frustrating and useless. An example is the correct spelling (abc) for "RECIEVED." Takes a long long time in checking mode. It found Recharg? and Reciting? "DIAMATOR" = Dialytic? "RECEITES" Receding? Receiver? why not RECEIPTS? "RELEAVE" = Release? Relate? Relive/ Religat? Wish I had spent the time to releave myself of this Franklin gone wrong. JDS
