5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT ARTIST DOES IT BETTER? September 25, 2000
Format:Audio CD
This is definitely Sizzla's best album. My favorites are Mental Chains, and Oh Children! He is by far the best conscious artist out there. Here is the proof. Name one Sizzla fan who does not own just about all of his albums?? 2 Strong featuring Sizzla and Anthony B. is a must-have as well. MORE FIRE!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sizzla Kolanji is the best ever. August 5, 1999
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
For my parents generation it was Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix. For my generation it is Sizzla and Wu-tang. Sizzla can now officially be compared to Bob. Like Bob, Sizzla is a genius and a modern day saint. Love for the poor, Love for God, Love of mother earth, Love for Africa and love for being an African are his messages, and the passion and talent with which he delivers his messages is chilling yet inspiring. His music is like medicine for black people anywhere in the world, rich or poor. This review applies to all his music - you need to buy all 9 albums he has out and get your hands on all his songs not on those albums (and there are plenty). I implore people to buy his music. It is like listening to the Torah, the Koran or the Bible. I am not a religious zealot by a long long way but Sizzla speaks only the truth and I am a zealot for the truth.

Miguel Collins aka Sizzla Kolangi is the deepest most spiritual singers since the great Bob Marley and this album is truly a classic and must be part of your reggae collection. My favorite track is "in this time" This track puts me in a bliss of harmony and peace. I strongly advise that you pick this album up you wont be dissapointed. ---Hail King Haile Selassie

5.0 out of 5 stars ALL OF SIZZLA'S SONGS ARE A TRUE INSPERATION August 30, 1999
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
FROM THE FIRST TIME I HEARD SIZZLA HIS MUSIC JUST TOUCHED MY SOUL. ALL HIS LYRICS ARE ABOUT CONSCIENCENESS AND LIFE AND HE JUST HAS A GREAT WAY OF PUTTING EVERYTHING TOGETHER. I ALSO LIKE THAT HE WRITES ALL OF HIS SONGS SO YOU CAN SEE THAT HE ACTUALLY FEELS THE VIBES OF WHAT HE'S SING ABOUT. JUST LISTENING TO HIM BRIGHTENS MY DAY. SOME OF MY FAVORITES ARE TRUE HEART'S, WHAT DOES IT WORTH AND LOVELY MORNING.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing. . . February 15, 2002
By Achis
Format:Audio CD
There can be made a very strong case that Royal Son of Ethiopia is Sizzla's absolute best album ever. It is without a doubt, lyrically, one of his best, and I really like the fact that Greensleeves decided to put the lyrics to all of the songs in the liner notes, seeing them in writing actually somewhat helps the entire experience somewhat. Favorite tracks absolutely "Eastern Mountain", "In This Time" with Luciano, "Burn Dem Turf" and "Mental Chains". The absolute best song being without a doubt "As In the Beginning" which besides "The World" and "Praise Ye Jah" is my favorite Kalonji song ever. Overall, this album is amazing, no weak points, no weak tracks of course(they don't exist on Xterminator) and just an exellent album.

4.0 out of 5 stars More Sizzla!! December 26, 2006
By Ms. 90
Format:Audio CD
This is my second Sizzla purchase and I must say that I like this one just a tad bit more than Bobo Ashanti. "In This Time," "As In The Beginning," "A Wah Dat" and "Ripe Leaf" are stand-outs, but the whole CD gets two thumbs up from me. I'm still on the lookout for more Sizzla that is along the lines of this one and Bobo Ashanti as they are kinder and gentler to my ears.
