5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, very warm, excellent construction
This comforter is definitely of superior quality. I've used several types of comforters over the years and this one has by far the best construction of any I've owned. Definitely warm enough for cool/cold climates and the high thread count on the cover will prevent feathers from poking out. The baffling really does prevent the "pooling" of feathers, and the border on...

This comforter is definitely of superior quality. I've used several types of comforters over the years and this one has by far the best construction of any I've owned. Definitely warm enough for cool/cold climates and the high thread count on the cover will prevent feathers from poking out. The baffling really does prevent the "pooling" of feathers, and the border on this particular comforter is just an additional nicety that helps when moving the comforter within a duvet.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good quality but Really Really Thin, November 16, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this comforter because of all the other positive reviews I read on the site. The good news: The comforter arrived very promptly, even with the free standard shipping option. The Cons: When I opened up the package, I was disappointed to see how light and thin the comforter was...definitely not something you can use to dive under the covers with on a cold winter's day. It was thinner than a generic down comforter I bought at a local Bed Bath Beyond (which cost less)! It just wasn't as thick and warm as I had hoped. After putting the comforter into my duvet cover you can barely tell there was anything inside. So despite the good quality construction, I am disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the money., September 3, 2006

Pros

1)This comforter will last through the ages.

2)The pockets are very nice. (better then previous mattress)

3)Wife loves that it is warm during the cold nights

4)Stains come out quite well too(dryclean only) Dogs...Thunder... enough said.

5)Price. Half as much as my last comforter but twice as warm.

Cons

1)Not much thicker then your average comforter. Bought Hoping would be as fluffy as my last comforter.

2)White.... can anyone think of a worse color for showing aging? Buy a microsuede duvee. You wont regret it.

The Pros out weigh the cons. Due to price and quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very light and warm, November 21, 2006
I got this comforter to replace my old one. It's very light yet very warm. I'd recommend getting a separate duvet cover so you can wash the cover regularly. I absolutely love this!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, February 12, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Wonderful down comforter, beautifully made, exactly the right weight and warmth for Colorado. Unlike most others I've had, it keeps its shape, the down remains at all times evenly distributed, and a quick shake every morning maintains the loft. I couldn't be happier or more satisfied, and at the price it's an extraordinary value.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, but good for the price.., January 11, 2007
Affordable, warm, great texture. However it does lack the weight I sought. I've only used it for a couple of months and it looks different from the time of purchase. It is very comfortable, and hopefully it will last.

3.0 out of 5 stars My honest assessment of this comforter, March 18, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is my first Down Comforter and I must say it stays pretty warm, but keep in mind that I live in warm, southern california. It kept me pretty warm during 2007 winter, but I somewhat wished I got a comforter with 650-700 plus fill for maximum warmth during winter. I think this comforter can be used year round, but during the winter I would say I'm 85% satisfied using only this Comforter as my blanket. So, if you have additional sheets or blankets then obviously that would be more than enough. I like the comforter, but I am not in love with it. My one and ONLY big problem with this comforter is that the Goose down seems to leak out over time. I'm not sure exactly where the down is coming from since I have a duvet cover (covers the comforter on the exterior), but somehow little small feathers leak out. It really irritates me to see all these little feathers over my sheets. I'm not sure if that is normal with goose down comforters, but that is my only one Gripe with the comforter.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Quality Comforter, October 17, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've only had this comforter for a few months now. But, I'm quite impressed with how warm it is. It does not have the same loft as my old comforter (Pacific Coast Down). Yet, it's somehow warmer. It also seems to be better constructed than my old comforter which is the better known and more reputable company. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I bought 4 goose down and feather pillows from by the same company. Again they seemed flatter than my previous down pillows. But, they provide great support. Again, I'm quite pleased.

5.0 out of 5 stars NICE, October 9, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Very VERY nice product. It's a steal for what they're charging you to buy it. You might go to Costco and find a comforter that's cheaper -- but it's less nice than this one. Some reviews on this site say the comforter is too thin. It's thinner than expected (well, before reading the reviews that say it's thin); but it's got a lot of down in it and it fluffs up nicely and it is quite warm. This is a well-made product that was also designed well. I highly recommend it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ok quality, so thin it feels like a summer comforter, October 30, 2008
I was disappointed, because given all the positive reviews I was expecting the most awesome comforter ever. It's nice - the construction is good, the packaging is good. But you take it out of the box and, well, it's pretty flimsy. It's about as warm and thick as my summer comforter from the Company Store. Therefore, I returned it. I wanted something for winter, not for summer with the A/C on. I'm surprised it got such good reviews, as I found it to be really thin and not at all luxurious and plush like a down comforter should be. Oh well!
