To extend its use through cold winter months, simply throw an additional blanket on top. The comforter features 40-ounce European white goose down fill with a fill power of 575+. Fill power refers to the space one ounce of down occupies in cubic inches. A high rating means more warmth and a better quality product. True baffled box construction prevents shifting and avoids the discomfort of cold spots. Allergy sufferers will be happy to hear the down fill has gone through an antimicrobial treatment process to prevent the growth of bacteria. This reduces the chances of nighttime irritation and promises a better night's sleep. A white cotton damask cover with subtle tone-on-tone stripes encases the fill. It carries a tight 320-thread-count weave that feels soft to the touch while securely containing its contents. This comforter should only be dry-cleaned to protect the health and loft of its down fill and allow for years of use. Made in the USA, it comes in a range of sizes and is backed by an 8-year limited warranty.

At first I was very happy with this comforter. It is very comfortable, but after only a short time it started to leak badly. I have had cheap comforters leak before, but never expected it from one this expensive and with a high thread count. It constantly sheds feathers and feather dust.

I was wary given the other reviews, but couldn't resist the incredibly low price per ounce of down filling. It was warm to begin with, but a day or so later it had expanded and filled its shell, and holds even a flannel duvet cover high and full. It is instantly warm and keeps body warmth even after a late night trip to kitchen or bathroom. No signs of shedding. It is second only to my top of the line name brand comforter and I am very happy with the value and quality.

This Down comforter is a perfect comforter for the California climate. It looks very nice, and I have not encountered any issues with. It is a great buy.
