Buyer Beware!,

This fixture requires you to use a special type of flourescent bulb with a "bayonet base". The fixture will not accept the usual screw in light bulbs. Instead, you must use special (very expensive) bulbs with a "bayonet base". You cannot use a standard bulb in this fixture! If you despise flourescent light (like I do) you will not be happy with this fixture. Additionally, the room in which we were planning to install this fixture has a light switch that allows you to dim the light. However, the flourescent "bayonet base" light bulbs that came with the fixture are NOT dimmable. To replace these special "bayonet base" light bulbs with flourescent lights that are dimmable would cost about $100.00. The documentation stated that the fixture came with compact flourescent light bulbs, which I planned to discard. Unfortunately, nothing was said about the fact that the fixture only accepts special "bayonet base" bulbs. I am very unhappy with this purchase and will return it.
