The 12" height is measured from the top of the table to to tippity top of the ring, not to the top of the lamp housing. Don't be fooled as I was - the candle pictured is not a normal-sized or even slim pillar candle - must be more like 1 1/2" x 4". (Perhaps specially made for the photo shoot?) You most you could fit in there would be a small half-size pillar candle without making it look crowded.It is a very nice lantern, interesting seeded glass and dark bronze patina. Nicely finished, easy opening double panel door. If it were even a little bit larger, it would be a five-star lamp. Sigh. |
