5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Birthday Gift for Toddlers
My 3 year old daughter received this for her birthday, and promptly announced "I want to take a bath!" Well, we have taken impromptu baths every afternoon for a week because of this collection of bath toys. The finger paints are wonderful...very vibrant...and we use our own paintbrush to add to her artist experience. The best part of the collection are the three...

1.0 out of 5 stars It just does not work
Painting in the tub should be easy enough, right? But this toy simply does not work. The paint does not come our dark enough to see. I can't believe what a waste of money this was. Don't get it!

The best part of the collection are the three bathtub crayons WHICH REALLY WORK, even underwater (and we've tried them all!) She loves creating pictures with them. Also included are a rubber duckie scrubber to 'erase' your artwork, several sponge shapes, stick on foam shapes, a cute fish in glycerine soap, and a plastic tub in which to tote around the lot. It really is a must have for your toddler's bath...we recommend it highly to everyone (it'll make bath time much more fun, we promise!!)

The best thing about the Rub A Dub bucket is the crayons for drawing in the tub. The worst thing is that they are gone in about 5 baths. This little push up dispenser for the crayon is not good. A nice fat full crayon would be better and last longer. I don't think this bucket is quite worth the price especially with crayons that are gone before you know it and you are left with an empty dispenser and no refills.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, December 27, 2002

This bucket looks great, but in a word, it's a RIP-OFF. The crayons are gone in no time, the hand doesn't float, the paints barely work, and the "toy" in the soap is a one and half inch rubber frog! I was very disappointed in this purchase. My 4 year old loved it, but it was gone so fast he was disappointed as well. It's a great idea if it was cheaper, my main problem I guess is with the cost which I think is ridiculous. I really expected to get more for my money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome toy!, February 8, 2003

I bought this bath set for my son (1 1/2 yrs old) because he gets bored with bath toys so easily. He absolutley loves to draw, and has recently started coloring in his books, so he has lost his "pen" privileges. This toy has completely made up for it. He loves the crayons. They work great for him (we haven't had a problem with the holders like some reviews have mentioned). He can color all over the tub, and on the tiles. However, the paints are very hard to see. Maybe, when he is older, he will be more interested in them, but for the time being, we only use the crayons (which can be ordered seperately), the "stickers" and the duck "loofa".

This has been the best money we've spent on bath-time entertainment!

My only reservation about purchasing these as a gift, is they colors do not immediately wash out of grout. I'm not sure if they'll fade away with time, but we now have a few little blue stains on our grout inbetween tiles!

This toy is nothing but trouble for a two year and his parents. The crayons come in this plastic tube that is impossible for a small child to control. My son would use all the crayon and then scream to have more. When you "clicked" the crayon up, he would push to hard and the crayon would disappear again. After many tears I gave up and threw the whole thing out. We did keep the bucket for the sandbox however. It was a very expensive bucket!!!<(...)

My 4 year old loved the crayons (perhaps a little too much; they were gone within a week) but he and I were both disappointed with the paint- it doesn't show up very well on him or the tile, and is heavily perfumed. The foam "stickers" were fun, but tore fairly easily. Great for starters, and the hand-shaped palette will stay in the bath toy basket, but I think next time, we'll just stick with the soap crayons.

I purchased this toy along with a set of minature musical instruments for my nephew who is nearly two years old. My brother positively raved about the merits of the latter but when I pressed him to comment on the bath paints he said "Think Marlon Brando in Apocolypse Now".
