Rub a Dub Stickers for the Tub: Beep Beep!

Our 22 month old received this set of cars, trucks, signs, etc. in a big pack that also came with the letters and shapes and numbers. The first night he spent a long time making car and bus and firetruck sounds along the "road". The second night, rather than having to 'coax' him to the bath he ran in delight to get to play with the set! It was a great gift - I'd love to find the "big" set we received somewhere so I could buy it as a gift for someone else to enjoy!

I'm guessing the idea is when the car and street stickers are wet they should stick to the sides of the tub, allowing the children to mix and match which cars go on which road. Fun idea, especially for my 2 yr old son who LOVES cars. I have 2 problems with this toy:

1) The "street" stickers will stick to the sides of the tub when you have nothing on them, but put a couple cars on and they slide right into the tub, they're too heavy not to. Also, who designed the shape of the street? How is it that most of the street pieces are curved (so that they end up in a circle) when most people's bath tubs are rectangular? Shouldn't the "street" just be straight and go all the way around the tub...unless this was designed for kids to stand up and put these on the tile wall...which is a safety hazard in a wet tub. Don't get it. So, you can't really connect all the street pieces and have your child sit down while playing. Poor design, in my opinion.

2) The car, bus, and airplane stickers do not stick very well to the side of the tub, even when wet. They do stick great onto the street pieces, but as I just mentioned...once you put them on the street...the street then falls in the tub.

I bought this because it got such great reviews, I'm really wondering if the people who liked this just got a different product than I did.

The *only* reason I gave it 2 stars and not "0" stars is that my son and daughter (2 yr old twins) still like to play w/the pieces independently (not as stickers, but they treat them like boats) so....for that I give it 2 stars. Disappointed though...

My 2 1/2 year old daughter received these from Santa and they have been a big hit! The first night she jumped in the tub and immediatly started making all the car and truck noises and putting them on the road. They foster great vocabulary skills when you can talk about all the different types of vehicles and transportation. What I especially like is the colors. It is hard to find cars and trucks that aren't the traditional red and blue. They are more girl friendly without being too "girly" for little boys. They are very sturdy and store easily in the mesh bag provided. The only downfall is there could be more road pieces. Otherwise, a great tub toy!

Recently bought these foam bath toys for my 3 year old because he's mad about all things cars/fire engines. Whilst a good idea in principle, we have a curved tub and it's worth mentioning that they will not stick to a curved tub. That said, even though we have regular flat tiles, the roads do not like to stick to the tile either.

However, he does enjoy laying the roads out on the flat tiles and chugging the cars etc round that way. He even moves the pieces round the lip of the bath, so does really enjoy the set, albeit not in the way the manufacturer intended.

This toy was very cool for the tub. Fun to stick all over the tub and walls and my 2-year old was able to do it all by himself.

These tub stickers were a Christmas '06 gift for my 2 yr-old son who loves playing in the tub and he loves trains, cars, etc. At this stage, he mostly just plays with a few of the vehicles (not the roadways included) but I see him graduating toward that in the next year or so. There are lots of pieces included in this and a nice mesh bag to store them in to dry. They stick well to the side of the tub and are thick enough to last a long time.

We bought this for our two little boys (ages 4 and 1-1/2). They love to play with it in the tub. We just give them a few pieces at a time. They easily stick to the side of the tub when wet or float. Cleanup is easy with the mesh bag. It suctions to the side of the tub so it doesn't have to sit on the floor soggy. The mesh bag also allows for quick drying. No more bleaching our old moldy ones! I highly recommend it. Also, the pieces are very colorful and I think girls would enjoy it as well. My 1-1/2 year old doesn't chew the toys buy I wouldn't recommend it for a baby who still mouths objects.

My then-18 month old daughter got these for Christmas and still loves them 4 months later. She likes to dunk them, stick them on the edge of the tub, float them...etc. They actually stick well even though it's easy for her to get them off.

There were way too many pieces for her to use, so we left half at Grandma's and still have too many, but it makes it easy to rotate them around so she has a few favorites and a few surprises.

She chewed on one when I wasn't watching, and it of course looks chewed! Otherwise, though, they dry quickly, don't shed or discolor as far as I can tell, and are easy for her to use.

I bought these for my 18 month old son, and he loves them. He's crazy about cars, and loves taking baths, so it's a good combination. The pack includes so many "stickers" that I only put half in the bathroom, and saved the other half for later, in case the first batch gets yucky. But it doesn't seem that they will so far, they dry very quickly and seem durable. I also like that the storage net was included, so I can keep the stickers separate from his other bath toys. This is a simple & fun bath toy, I highly recommend for toddlers.

I LOVE this! My daughter has a ball every night in the tub. These also come with a very handy case with suction cups that actually work. My husband no longer complains about tripping over a bin of bath toys! GREAT BUY!
