Rubberized Plastic Phone Protector Case Black For BlackBerry Curve 8900

This case fits the 8900 perfectly. There is zero wiggle room. The case itself is plastic, with a rubber feel, but you should not expect rubber-like impact resistance. Side buttons, camera and flash are easily accessible. It doesn't pick up as much lint and dirt as silicone and wipes away easily. All in all, I'm satisfied. I also purchased the standard OEM Blackberry Rubber slip cover for the 8900, but stayed with this plastic case.

The only issue I had was removing the case. It took a few seconds to figure out how to do so, because once it snaps shut, it's on for good! Slide your thumb nails into the notches on the left side of the unit and just push the nails in, the cover will come undone immediately.

The case at first glance looks cheap, but when you get to feel it, you will notice it is durable.
and in person the hard case looks better then in the picture, especially when it is on the blackberry itself.

usually on rubberized plastic, you will notice scratches and marks. not on this one. and as opposed to silicone, this will not attract lint or dust when in your pocket.
as someone mentioned, once the case is on, it can be a bit tricky to take off.

the reason i only gave this item 4/5 stars is due to the fact that i have a cradle charger made by RIM, and the case blocks the contacts from touching.
i wish there would be a case that had contacts in them so they could touch the ones on the cradle.

also, the rubberized coating might be a little thinner than what might be out there so try to not drop your Blackberry.

Case fits perfectly. It does not wiggle on the phone like some silicon cases. It does not feel like rubber, but not as slippery as plastic casing. It has a few internal clips, so you have to be careful when removing the case. It fits perfect into oversized leather case sold by Reiko. The black coating looks permanent. Please be aware that some cases are made of white plastic with a black coating and it's visible when case is on the phone. Ask seller before you buy it. The one I've purchased from "BargainCell" made of black plastic with black coating, so it looks perfect.

Can't beat the price for this case. It fits perfectly with zero wiggle room. All the buttons and keys are easily accessible. The shape seems very well designed. All the edges of the button openings are rounded and smooth with the exception of a couple spots where there seems to be a rough edge where the shell halves meet.

Without any case, the phone is light and slippery in my hand. After adding this case it gave the phone just enough weight and thickness to fit comfortably in my hand. The feel of the 'rubberized' plastic is smooth but not slick, so it slides easily into my pocket.
As far as shear protection, this case will simply guard against scratches on the phone. There is no way this case would hold up if dropped.

Lots of reviews state that the case is nearly impossible to open once you have it on the phone. I can confirm this. But following the instructions of an earlier review, if you slide your finger nail into the seam of the case along the left side, it will pop open the first set of clips. Slowly run your finger around the bottom of the case to the right side and then the whole thing will open up. But being careful is important if you wish to not crack it.
I opened my case about 15-20 times before one of the clips finally broke. The case still works, but one side of it is loose now.

Final thought: Buy this if you plan on rarely opening it up, don't buy it if you plan on removing your phone from the case often.

I bought this hard case protector, and the silicon one. I received the silicon one first and did not care for it at all. It tends to slip, and whenever I picked up the phone, I would activate the camera because the part of the case that covers the camera sticks out. On the other hand, the top and bottom covers of the hard case creates a recessed area so the camera and volume buttons are accessible but out of the way when handling the phone. I also think the hard case cover feels better in my hand than the silicon one, and I don't feel like I'm going to drop it. Plus this one doesn't pick up lint like the silicon cover. For a under $5, this is a good buy. The case provides a snug fit, and all of the feature buttons and ports are readily accessible.

I thought this would be a good case but I was wrong. You literally get what you pay for. After using this for about a month I took it off to clean my phone and noticed that the silver part of my phone started to peel off like the outter rim of the phone. It happened to my boyfriend's phone too and he had the same case. Not good at all. I wouldn't buy this ever again!!!!!

Cheap and protects well. Snaps right in. At first, I had trouble getting the phone out of the case, but you will get the hang of it.

looks good but soesnt last that long. i have had it for less than a month and it doesnt stay closed any more. I just threw it out. you get what you pay for. Invest in something worthwhile

No problems with delivery of product, however, it has not held up as well as I would have liked. I will admit I have dropped it twice, and the male/female parts that keep the front and back together have broken off. Nice case, but just does not hold up well if you drop it. I have had to order a different kind of case.

case isnt the most durable but it looks great. it also is very great for the price. id rather buy 3 of these than buy a more expensive case.
