I actually got on to review it after dropping the container often. I keep it on the top shelf in my pantry. I keep dropping it while searching through the not so well organized pantry.

It stays closed. And when I say closed, the lid doesn't pop off, the container is on one piece, and the snap open lip doesn't open and expel the 2 bags of loose rice it's holding.

Thank goodness, from a kultz to a klutz. It's a great container.

It has a pop top that occ. does come off when you pop the lip. I just remember to put one hand on the top of the container as it rest, then pop the lip. Easy on the arthritis too, I'd guess since it's really just pop up and no worries about dropping it.

Yup. Just happy I don't have to clean up rice. Thank you rubbermaid.

This cereal keeper is awesome, I buy double pack cereals from Costco and those boxes take up a lot of space, so I can keep one full bag in here and stash the other bag somewhere else. I had none of the form or function problems some other reviewers had, or thought they'd have, it keeps my Cheerios fresh and my cabinets organized!

I needed a cereal container that would seal and not only keep the cereal inside fresh, but keep sugar ants out! This definitely does the trick! I ordered 5 more after I "tested" this one. Fits perfectly in my pantry and keeps cereal nice and orderly - plus the kids can see which cereal they want.

This is a big cereal container. Its oval shape makes it slightly wider than Family/Giant sized boxes, which is my only complaint. But it's big enough to hold much more than 1 of those boxes. I bought it to hold Costco-sized double packs.

It has an indentation and textured ridges where you hold it. The pour lid is easy to open and close. The lid conveniently has a stop at half-way open so it's out of the way when you pour your cereal. And I like the slight lip because it ends up catching the crumblies at end instead of having the last bowl be a bowl of mush crumbs.

It keeps cereal fresh. I only had a problem when first bought it because I used it right after washing it- it wasn't fully dry and the cereal became stale very quickly. Since then, I make sure I dry overnight and I have had no problems.

We purchased a couple of these at walmart. They have a great seal on the lids. The lids stay on very tightly. The only drawback to them is their odd oval shape, makes them a little hard to organize in the cabinet. Other wise they are great containers if you have a larger cabinet to store them in. They hold A TON of cereal which is great if you buy the bulk boxes/bags.

Was able to get rid of all the cereal boxes on top of my fridge. Always was a problem since no one to date has figured out how to make cardboard boxes close/re-seal. Plus they are different sizes, shapes, and colors. With this - it all looks beautiful. Box is tapered on one side for grip and the spout on the other. You do lose out on the nutrition information & expiration dates by putting the cereals in this - but for those who don't care too much about them - this is perfect.

This is a great cereal container. My favorite aspects of it are that it is quite large (easily contains a 36 oz bag of cereal), and because it is square it fits nicely up against your other cereal boxes. I originally bought one of these to contain bagged cereal, but have since purchased two more because they also fit the standard bags of cereal that you can get at Costco (most Costco cereal comes with two large bags in a single box, which is difficult to use and store).

The top fits snuggly, the whole thing is easy to wash (even with my big man hands), and the slightly recessed handle makes pouring cereal a breeze. One downside is that because the lid is recessed, you can get little bits of cereal in the rim while you are pouring it, but a quick pat against the side or brush with a finger fixes that no problem. Definitely recommended.

These containers are well made, a decent size and seal very well. I'd have given them 5 stars if they didn't have labels that couldn't be removed easily. Instead separating easily from the container's surface, the paper labels leave their inner surface still glued to the surface.

This is very big. It will hold 2 boxs of regular size cereal boxs. They close tight and have a nice grip side on them. I bought 2 and plan to buy 2 more.

This is a really functional, slim cereal container set. It is made of light weight BPA free clear plastic. and measures roughly 10.8X 9.0 X4.5 inches. The capacity (as said on the container) is 24 cups = 1.5 gallons It is dishwasher safe (top shelf only) and there is a microwave sign on the container which may mean microwave safe as well but I am not sure about it and besides why would anyone put this in a microwave oven? For those who are interested, it is made in the USA.

The set consists of three identical containers. Each container is a two piece unit : a rubberized top piece ( lid) which fits tightly to the container and the container part. The top piece has an approximately 2.75 inches diameter opening on one side and that is covered by an additional lid which fits tightly to close that space . The good thing about the lid is that it does not close back when you lean the unit to one side for pouring the contents, there is a small stopper which prevents it to close on its weight (see the image for detail) The bottom part has a sort of handle on one side for easy grasping

I purchased the set a month ago from a local supermarket where it was offered at $19 compared to $24 at amazon. Rubbermaid is a pretty well known brand which you can find in many different places so if you like the item but want to save some money, you may want to check out local supermarkets before agreeing on the amazon price.
