I found the sinkmat worked just fine, but the circle in the middle actually acted as a stopper for the sink, causing the water to flow down extremely slowly. We tried folding it under, which was fine, but it was easier just to cut it out. We run it through the dishwasher once a week and it's nice. We like it better than the sink racks that can slip or slide, for which we have broken more than one glass - and once had a something tip over and spill water all over the kitchen counter and floor. This definitely works much better.

This product is just what I have been looking for. It not only protects your sink, but prevents food from clogging your drain. You are less likely to get an unpleasant odor from discarded food and unwanted debris.

Great sink mat. I like the fact that it has a flap in the middle that keeps things from going down the garbage disposal or drain. It is really easy to keep clean. I was looking everywhere for a black mat to match my kitchen and it is perfect. Doesn't bend or curl up at the edges either like some of the other brands.

Excellent quality sink protector. Much cheaper than the Kitchenaid brand. Accurate size. Fits sink well.

This is really nice. I have double sinks and bought 2 of them. The middle flap seems useful and doesn't bother me at all. It looks really nice in the bottom of the sink and cushions my dishes. The red color is vivid and matches other things in my kitchen. Check the measurements of the bottom of your sink before ordering. These come in different sizes.

The chemical odor was so bad that my husband and I couldn't stand it. We let them air out downstairs for a couple of weeks thinking the smell would dissipate but it was still just as bad. Got rid of them... waste of money! I miss the old style of Rubbermaid mats that came in different colors - and they didn't smell!

See other review with same critique: these things look so pretty (we got red) but cause MORE cleaning because in a short time, the sink stinks like rotten garbage, there's black mold growing around the little drain holes & stopper-flap, & underneath, where the worst smell is is like a slimy dead fish.
The mats need cleaning/disinfecting more often than the porcelin!

Would not buy this item again. Been using for a couple weeks and still has a bad odor. Also, gets slimmy with regular use.

The mat fits my sink perfectly, it stays put, and doesn't float. The only drawback is the flap in the center. It acts like a stopper even when the basket strainer is open. I ripped it off the first day, and now I'm living happily ever after.
