Ordered one to see how I would like it but returned it. The lid has four snaps, one on each corner. Of the four, one was detached from the fabric, and another was so tight I could not snap the corner together. I did, however, order and like very much the Rubbermaid three-handle storage chest and the 2-pack nesting bins. I just don't like the design of the window boxes with the snap corners.

I'm in the process of updating my walk-in closet and I really like this Rubbermaid Configuration size. I have several of the larger containers, but a few of my shelves are just not large enough. It sounds like the reviewer below had a quality control issue, which luckily, I have not encountered. I have ordered about 40 Rubbermaid Configuration boxes (various sizes) thus far and have nothing but praise for the quality of construction. Great, upscale product for your closet and storing clothes, shoes, etc.

Update#2 - I checked this product out again a few months after my last post and image for the product has reverted back to it's wrong picture. The box should be clearly beige with brown lining. Picture (currently) shows white back with black lining.

Update - Looks like they corrected the image for the product on the amazon site to have a more natural canvas tone rather than a bright white color. Now I want to say that I bought 3 more of these boxes since they were fairly cheap. Now these boxes are suppose to have one long window on one of hte 24" sides and 2 shorter windows on each of the the end sides. Two of the boxes I just bought came without a window on the long (24") side (had windows only on the two shorter end sides). And one of the boxes looks like it had some small fingerprint smudges on it like it was from a young child - I kid you not. But I won't return it since amazon had it for very cheap and it's still functional. Maybe I'll keep the 2 boxes without the long side windows in another closet. Bottomline - looks like these were very cheaply made from some third-word factory. I can't figure out how, but I'd like to re-rate this product from 3 stars to 1 star!

I'm a little disappointed - the box is NOT white with black outlines (as the image leads you to believe. It's actually beige with (faded) black or brown outline. Not the great dark black / bright white "contemporary" contrast look I was hoping for.

Functionality-wise it's pretty sturdy and capacity is just right - holds about two large ski pants, gloves, and my ski googles. And since the sides of the box is held together by velcro and the top is held together by button-snaps, it can be easily flattened when not in use.

I ordered these box to use as under-bed storage, and they are perfect for my needs. They are sturdy and feel like they will stand up to some abuse. The viewing windows don't seem like they will be very useful because of their position, but they're not flimsy, so I'll just ignore them, I think.

It does works, and it fits my college wardrobe top perfectly. But when I received it, it didn't look anything like a new one - stains, yellowish dots... But overall it's okay.

I picked this up because I collect fish bones. In all, I had about 283 fish bones. This is not a good storage for anything other than old rags or yarn or ladies bras. It is very brittle, as I learned this while taking my Rubbermaid to the train station and it fell apart. I got a ticket for having fish bones in a public space.
