2.0 out of 5 stars NOT for real hand tools
Wheels collapsed when I populated with shovels and other metal hand tools. The plastic wheels have weak supports that split when you roll the unit on first use. System works fine once placed in the corner and stays in place. I did not give lowest rating since it unit was inexpensive and serves primary purpose. In additionn, it may work OK for grass rakes and brooms.

We got this just before moving to consolidate lots of tools from wall racks to something we could handle at a house with no garage (yet). It was so easy to assemble I did it in the kitchen and it took only about five minutes. It took longer figuring out where to put everything than it did to put it together.

It is very stable and the wheels make it very easy to move around. Basically, we stuck everything with a long handle in it and still have holes left over. The only knock I have on the unit is that there is no positive locations for the ends of the tools on the base so many of them flop around a bit making it somewhat harder to keep things organized. But even that is nothing compared to having all these tools handy and tangle free.

I looked at several other similar units and Rubbermaid's is much stronger and more stable. A good deal for the money. I highly recommend it for anyone trying to corral a number of yard tools in a small place.

It stores my 30+ tools in a very small space. Better than using a wall or a can. Well worth the $. Love the wheels. Easy to assemble. All plastic parts, but could be a little stronger.

After many years of having my yard tools falling on the floor, hitting me in the head and near impossible to find in the pile they where in, Rubbermaid came to the rescue wirh this cart. With only 10 parts it took less than 10 min. to assemble.

NOTE;::: A rubber mallet or a piece if fairly heavy wood would help to tap the wheels into the holes when you are assembling it. You won't need any other tools to assemble the rest of it.

I have 22 tools in there now and room for more. It will be nice and sturdy if you put some heavy tools on the lower platform as I have. I also have it backed up to my garage corner wall, with the wheel locks engaged so it is extremely stable. I would not roll this cart around to much with a full rack of heavy tools in it. It's stable against the wall but a bit tipsy when I get it away from there. It does not stick out very far from the wall, plenty of room for my car.

I can't believe how nice and tidy my yard tool secton is now. Highly Recommended. PS:::CHECK OUT MY CUSTOMER IMAGE on product page. THANX

When I first bought this it appeared to be a great, portable tool storage unit. It might have stayed that way had I only stored light-weight yard tools on it, but with the weight of shovels, edgers and an ax or two, it has bowed and swayed to the point where it is unstable unless it is propped up against something. Reinforced steel rods in the legs and base would go along way to improving this unit. Would not recommend buying for storing anything heavy.

This tool rack was very simple to assemble but I find it not very sturdy. I use it without the wheels in my garage and it seems a bit shaky when you insert or remove tools. It does the job but I guess for the price, I shouldn't expect much more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rubbermaid Tool Tower--positive review, May 30, 2008
This review is from: Rubbermaid 5E28 Deluxe Tool Tower Rack with Casters, Holds 40 Tools (Kitchen)
The Rubbermaid tool organizer is just what I needed: 1) EASY to assemble, 2) Holds MANY tools such as brooms, clippers, shovels, rakes, hoes, etc., 3) can be moved around the garage on casters. It is a little light for extreemly heavy items such as week-wacker, however the size of the base makes it stable at the same time. I love it. A good organizer that went from box to full use in about 10 minutes.

Seems to be well designed and very easy to assemble. I am surprised at how much stuff I could put into and on this stand. I now have virtually all my yard/garden tools in one place so I do not have to hunt for them trying to remember where I last put them. Well worth the price.

In organizing our garage, I was looking at several different tool organizers. I finally settled on this one when I saw that you could store many tools with handles, as opposed to other tool organizers. It works perfectly, and is a lot stronger than I initially gave it credit for. It took about 5 minutes and a rubber mallet to put together, and another 15 minutes to locate all of the tools to get them on here (but no more!).

The only complaint, and not really a complaint since I'm giving it 5 stars, is that I thought the poles were metal. They're hard plastic, but the picture makes them look metal-ly.
