Sticker trouble
I understand these products are made for restaurant kitchens, but Cook's Illustrated recommended the lid/ storage container for ease of use and access. I agree. Though I found it nearly impossible to get the stickers off! Also, you have to push somewhat hard to lock the lid in place. On the container itself, I found the painted lines and numbers to have sloppy paint jobs.

DESCRIPTION IS WRONG!!! BEWARE!!!
I ordered this item because Amazon displayed it with the 12-quart Carb-X storage containers I ordered, indicating customers who bought these also ordered this lid. The description, as you can see, says "The lid fits ALL Carb-x and Dur-x Space Saving Containers". Amazon does not provide the dimensions, so I took their word that the lid would fit my containers. I ordered this item because Amazon displayed it with the 12-quart Carb-X storage containers I ordered, indicating customers who bought these also ordered this lid. The description, as you can see, says "The lid fits ALL Carb-x and Dur-x Space Saving Containers". Amazon does not provide the dimensions, so I took their word that the lid would fit my containers. Actually, it it too small and is designed for smaller Carb-X containers. The correct lid is the #6523, which Amazon also sells but which cannot be found unless you already know the correct item #. Of course Amazon feels this is not their error. The lid itself is perfectly nice, if you have the right sized container. This is actually a review of Amazon's description and procedures, not the Rubbermaid product. |
