A good drainer with a gimmicky "loft", January 17, 2010
This review is from: Rubbermaid Dish Drainer with Loft - Chrome (Large) (Kitchen)
This drainer replaced my big blue plastic rubbermaid drainer that we've had for many years. The chrome looks a lot better than old plastic one, and it's about the same large size. The silverware cup is a lot bigger than my last one and drains better. The "loft" is not described well, and is really just a gimmick. The plastic cup holder that you see attached at the side in the picture comes off, and if you turn it so it's flat, attaches to one of the top edges of the drainer at the top, creating a "loft" that you can place long items such as knives and spoons. However, using the loft makes it difficult to use the space underneath. Besides, I've never had a problem finding room for long utensils in the drainer anyway. My only complaint with the drainer is that when this plastic piece is used as a cup holder, it does not attach to the drainer as firmly as I'd like. If a cup is stuck on the cup holder, it may pull the cup holder with it. Other than that, it's very good and I would recommend it.
