I highly recommend the collapsible Rubbermaid product. I have thrown away all of my non-collapsible plastic containers and have freed up space on two kitchen shelves. These containers are excellent space savers.

I read about these new collapsible storage bowls in my local paper. They turned out to be just what I needed. They take up less room since you can squish them down when storing them and they hold quite a bit of food. It took a little while to master putting on the lid without collapsing the container. And I would suggest hand washing them. These are a really great invention.

I LOVE this set! As long as you apply pressure to seal the lids THEY WILL NOT COLLAPSE! (as stated by another reviewer). I Have had them for months now and have used them with total success. Get rid of all your other plastics... these are all you'll ever need!

I keep them in my dog's car/travel bag. They are great for food and water bowls. I can wash them out and flatten with each use. They flatten and store easily. I had previously been using travel bowls from the pet store but these are MUCH better and even less expensive. Also use as in the kitchen for certain items. Different ones than my dog uses. ;-)

Side Note: I use these Rubbermaid bowls as interim drinking bowls when we are away from home but I do not STORE my dog's water in them. I do not store his (or my) water in ANY plastic containers as it would have that unhealthy plastic container smell/taste. At home, I use stainless bowls for his water. Again, these are good for travel.

The person I bought them for asked for them because they fold up and she does not have lots of cabinet space.

A little expensive but definiting worth it. No more trouble finding space for all those other plastic containers I do recommend this product

love this product! i am a flight attendant, and bring much of my own food. these bowls make it so easy to eat a proper meal. other than nasty paper plates, and bowls. when i'm done, simply wash it out and put it back in my cooler. goodfor anybody who eats meals away from home. since many us skip breakfast because of time. these bowls are great for that quick bowl of cereal at the office, or school. don't need to eat it out of a peper cup, or your coffee mug. yuck! saw the small size of these at my local supermarket, and it was almost half the price of this whole set. also, thses are so affordable, that you won't go postal if you or your kids lose one. a must for you brown baggers. and in this economy, it makes sence to bring your own nutritious food from home.

These are very handy for camping trips in a kayak on the river. They take up very little room, clean up easily. You can also use them as a plate in a pinch.

I need to buy more.

I cycle to work and use these things to take food in. I toss them in the microwave, eat, clean them, then collapse them to save room in my backpack. Any cycling commuter knows its all about consolidation.

I read reviews about it being hard to expand. I just make a fist and push it down. I read reviews about it collapsing when you try to close it. There is a warning on the lid that mentions the best way to avoid that.

It is well worth it, especially for someone looking for space savers.

These containers are wonderful and have worked perfectly for me, to say nothing of all the storage space that is saved. The collapsing and uncollapsing feature is a little stiff at first, but that changes with a couple of usages. I have goten rid of all of the other miscelleous storage containers that have taken up too much space. I have had not one of the problems some of the other reviewers have noted.
