EDIT 4/2014: Updated sets and quantity data below; they had changed in the four years since I wrote this review. My containers are still going strong, though!

I am very happy with the Easy Find Lid series. They are very good quality. But then, the many, many other reviewers who all also love this set will tell you that.

So here's some information that is harder to find: all the sets of these that I could find available, and the contents of each set, all in one place.

I wish I ordered the Rubbermaid Premier brand instead of these. These containers are a great idea but the plastic is still plastic. I heated a few things in them and the plastic became discolored and cloudy/bubbled like the cheapy brands do. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra few dollars on the Rubbermaid Premier set (It is still part of the easy find lid system but has a quality heavy duty hard plastic). These red easy find lids are not compatable with the black premier easy find lids. Hope this helps.

I am very happy with the fit and finish of these containers. They work great for storing leftovers in the fridge and for taking food to work/school. However, I reheated some chicken chili in one of them without the lid using a microwave and after washing I noticed that where top of the chili reached that the plastic was etched. Almost like pitting. Visible enough that my grand mother noticed it and you could feel it by touch. It was literally the first time I microwaved one of the containers. FYI it was less than 3 minutes in an 1100 watt GE microwave oven.

So if you're using these just for storing food, they're excellent. HOWEVER, if you want to reheat that food, beware. You should switch to glassware like pyrex or stoneware.

I probably should have purchased a larger set. The title of the product is a little misleading because when it says 18 pieces, it means the lids as well. My fault for not being a little more critically-minded while ordering.

I bought this set for my husband to use for work and it's held up wonderfully over the past 18 months. The lids fit perfectly and seal tight, so I don't have any complaints that others have listed about the ease with which the snap on. It stores in our cupboards without taking up a lot of room and has more than enough pieces (in a nice variety of sizes) for our uses. Foods like spaghetti sauce do tend to discolor/stain these, fyi, so try to clean them out as soon as possible. The one my husband uses most for casseroles and dark dishes it permanently stained, but it still works. :) That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Others have mentioned them not holding up to microwave use and we had that experience with a Rubbermaid set about 8 years ago; it bubbled and discolored. However, we have never and will never microwave these as cooking and with plastic is hazardous. The plastic can leech into your food and cooking the plastic weakens it to the point that it can flake into your food. I'm not trying to lecture anyone, but I don't want anyone to get sick. Ceramic (not old stoneware as that often contains lead) and glass are the best materials for reheating food. The price we paid was a few $ more than Target, but my husband needed them quickly.

I love these rubbermaid containers!! This package was a DEAL! All of the different sizes have been useful. Also, they are easy to store with how the lids pack up nicely. I would definitely recommend these containers, which are also durable.

You know, I have to admit that these things are designed very well. The tops stay on and they are very sturdy. Even when I drop a large container of soup on the ground, it doesn't leak...so I do give praise for that. But the absolute thing that makes this product worthless is its ability to ruin the taste of anything you put in it. Seriously, any food you put in it will come out tasting like plastic. Not even after microwaving, just putting cold food in a fridge stored in these things will give it a funky aftertaste of plastic. I don't what they are made of or how this wasn't caught before it was released...but there is something seriously wrong here. I find that the disposable hillshire farms deli meat containers make for better storage for my leftovers. What storage container taints your food with plastic particles making your food almost inedible...I mean what were they thinking! Do yourself a favor and don't buy this. I pray that one day this will be recalled or something.
