4.0 out of 5 stars Its pretty good
My wife and I bought a new house with a small 2 car garage and I needed an attractive way to keep the garbage cans outside the garage. This Rubbermaid storage shed fit the bill perfectly. It provides a way for me to store 2 large trash cans outside without the worry of animals getting into them or rain filling the cans. Assembly was a snap (no tools required - took me...

I have had this shed for less than one year. High temperatures here in the summer months reach high 90's with the occasional day at one hundred degrees. This shed is in partial shade during much of the afternoon, yet the heat buckled it so badly that it had to be wired back together---it actually popped apart! It became so warped that the top will not close.

I have had this shed for less than one year. High temperatures here in the summer months reach high 90's with the occasional day at one hundred degrees. This shed is in partial shade during much of the afternoon, yet the heat buckled it so badly that it had to be wired back together---it actually popped apart! Before that, during the winter, it contracted so much from the cold, (which, at worst, would be about 20 degrees at night) that spaces appeared at all the seams and water and snow went right in.
So, what good is a shed that literally pops apart and is not water resistant?
It is quite expensive and not at all reliable, unless, of course, you live in a mild climate where it is always balmy and never rains or snows.

This review is from: Rubbermaid Horizontal Storage Shed, 32-cubic ft (Lawn & Patio)
Assembly was a snap (no tools required - took me 5 minutes). My only complaints are that the price was too much and that the plastic slot for the rod that supports the lid in the "up" position was not properly formed and I had to cut away a bit of plastic that escaped the factory mold.

Anyway, it serves its porpose and is fast to assemble so I am glad I have it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shed, October 4, 2009
We've had our shed for years in a warmer part of California, it has held up well. We store outdoor furniture cushions and BBQ supplies in it. Convenient, easy to use. When assembling, use dish soap to moisten the joints and the pieces slide together better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Storage Shed, October 10, 2007

The product is exactly what I wanted. It was received with a part missing which was promply replaced by Rubbermaid. This item was shipped by Eagle Trucking. Their tracking was between "poor" and "useless" as the dates kept changing and was not delivered in the provided time frame. Had I not called Eagle, I do not believe it would have ever been delivered. When it was delivered the Eagle delivery personnel were extremely curtious and placed it per my request.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect small Storage, August 15, 2009

This item was exactly what we were looking for. Fits together well, keeps out the rain and looks nice for what you pay for. Relatively inexpensive, we use it to store our cushions for our outdoor furniture. Keeps them dry and looking brand new. Exactly what we needed.

When you assemble this make sure you slide the back pieces together, I was tired and not thinking clearly when I was doing it and kept trying to snap them in place. After sweating about 5lbs of water weight out in the summer sun, a lot of four letter words, and 30 minutes of my time, my wife came out looked at it for about 30 seconds and said why don't you slide them in place? Yea, as a man, I am not proud of this, but she was right and we got it set up in less than 5 minutes.

Overall, a great purchase, we are very happy with it and I know it will last a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding storage shed, October 30, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rubbermaid Horizontal Storage Shed, 32-cubic ft (Lawn & Patio)
The custom made alcove for our trash cans had been attacked by termites and was falling apart. After much research, I decided to purchase this shed made by Rubbermaid. It arrived more quickly than expected by truck, and the driver was kind enough to help us place the flat box close to the final location of the assembled shed. The shed holds THREE (not two) trash cans (somewhat oval in shape) with sufficient additional room under the "roof" of the shed for extra trash if/when the occasion arises. It took my husband and myself about 30 mintes (maximum, I wasn't timing it) to assemble the shed. We needed virtually no tools. The directions aren't THAT clear, but it's not hard to figure out. The shed is perfect and we have not had any animals thus far try to chew their way inside. The trash collectors apparenty find it easy enough to close, since the doors are never left open or the roof askew. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice storage box., December 2, 2007

But don't pay more than around $100. The price for this thing varies greatly (from $60 to $250). Don't get ripped off. It is a good box though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Product for the Money, November 13, 2007

I bought this product because I had a problem with animals getting into my garbage cans and needed a way to keep them out. The directions aren't the greatest and after attempting to put it together myself I waited for a 2nd person and it went smoothly. I was a little concerned about there not being any hardware to actually put it together and keep it together, it's hard plastic that has pieces that slide and lock (somewhat) together so we'll see how it holds up. So far so good, but I've been gentle with it. It serves it's purpose well for the money.

I was having a problem with racoons making a mess out of my garbage and this solved the problem so that I do not have to go to the dumps every day. Made my life easier!

I purchased this to clear some things out of the garage and got it on sale for 125 shipped. When I opened the box and saw the pieces I expected the worst but assembly was quite easy. You could pack a good bit of stuff in here. I even put a push mower in it but I have to disconnect the handle.
