the inserts to hold the ornaments are made out of flimsy cardboard. I sent Rubbermaid an email saying these need to be made out of plastic. Ornaments on the 2nd level tend to sag into the bottom level if they are a bit heavy. Nice green box though!

I was pleasantly surprised with my Rubbermaid Ornament Box. It is made of the same plastic used in other Rubbermaid products that we've become familiar with. It has cardboard dividers and holds 45 ornaments. I love it and have already transferred my ornaments into this container. My only complaints would be the size and the cardboard dividers. I could have used something larger - maybe holding 60 ornaments instead of 45. Also, I would have preferred the dividers to have also been made out of Rubbermaid plastic instead of cardboard. I think with continued use, the cardboard will not hold up as well as plastic would. I think this product was a very worthwhile purchase.

This may be a fine product but both the ornament boxes I ordered came with cracks and holes in them. They came in two separate boxes and both boxes were not strong enough to handle shipping. I would not recommend buying these until the shipping problems are solved.

I figured Rubbermaid would be a bit better quality. This was very flimsy for Rubbermaid, and the bottom corners were damaged in shipping. It seemed too much trouble to send back, so I taped the damaged corners. I would not order or buy this again

I was disappointed with this purchase. Knowing that the box was made by Rubbermaid, I expected high quality. But what I got was definitely not. The paritions were just flimsy cardboard, and 2 of the 3 boxes I bought had pieces broken out of the the bottom the size of a quarter or bigger. Needless to say they won't be waterproof should any water accumulate on the floor. I didn't want the hassle of sending them back for credit, so taped them up as best I could. I should have shopped for them at a local store so I could see what I was getting prior to purchase. But, unfortunately, I had waited until late January to decide I wanted them, and by then they weren't available in stores.

The other negative reviews were correct, unfortunately for me. I was hoping that I wouldn't receive it damaged, for example, but I did! It was cracked on the bottom and had a large chunk that fell off. The box itself isn't even rubbermaid quality. It's not very sturdy feeling, and it came warped on the bottom, and the top. It sits okay, but it's definitely not how it should be on those areas. I was also hoping that the cardboard wouldn't be the flimsy kind, b/c I have another ornament box that has cardboard that I never had any complaints about, but this one can barely be even called cardboard. It's more like a thick paper stock in the color brown. You'd expect at least a double wall cardboard, but this probably doesn't even qualify as "cardboard"!

If it didn't come damaged/warped and if the inserts were really cardboard (and a fairly sturdy one at that), then I would have given this product four stars.

I regret not getting the much pricier ornament boxes that catalogues such as frontgate or grandinroad sell. I was debating about this before I ordered this, but decided that this must be a decent buy since it is rubbermaid, but boy was I disappointed!

This container is a good serviceable item for storing xmas ornaments. It saves quite a bit of space and helps in organizing. One drawback, I read one of the reviews before purchasing and it complained about the flimsiness of the horizontal dividers (2). Here is a tip, use the dividers for the top and bottom of the container and with 5 minutes time and a utility knife, cut new dividers from the box the unit comes in. The box is twice as rigid and works fine. Because the storage container tapers from top to bottom, the "custom cut" shelves can be cut to fit perfect. Overall it is a good item at a good price.

Looks like a good product, the dividers that it comes with are not very sturdy though. Also didn't have a firm fit within the container. Ornaments were falling through the sides because of these problems. I bought another kind that didn't have these issues. They should probably try out the product before putting it on the market.

this product came with broken lids and amazon is playing games trying to get them returned....bad business..won't use again.

Overpriced. Surely somewhere online you can find a pattern for how to make the (flimsy) inserts, make them yourself out of a sturdier cardboard, and size them to fit any plastic box you can buy for $5. I'll be doing that when I need another.

The box itself is fine.
