When you shift your weight to go down the stool, the top step tilts backward just enough to throw you off balance. I definitely would not buy this stool again. I wish I could give it 0 stars, because I think it is unsafe.

Okay but overpriced for mediocre quality
The rubber handle is hard with nearly sharp edges for "grip". There are sharp edges under each stair witch you notice when you reach underneath for the latch to close the stool. Read more

Great step stool!
This stool is nice and light, plus the 2nd step really gets you high up there which I need because I'm so short. Works great!
